Gu Shengyin had just finished an appointment with a brand when a message came through.
During her years abroad, she had lost contact with most of her high school classmates, until one of the more active members of the class somehow found her contact information and added her to a group chat.
The chat was filled with classmates from their third year of high school.
The message was from Sisi.
"Changhuan, the class has decided to organize a reunion for the day after tomorrow, do you have time to come?"
Gu Shengyin thought about it; she seemed to have nothing on her schedule.
She replied to Sisi, "Iâm free, I can come. Send me the time and place."
Gu Shengyin arrived at the hotel promptly on the day of the reunion.
When she pushed open the door to the private room, there were already more than twenty people sitting inside.
Gu Shengyin looked around at each of them; five years was enough time for someone to change completely.
Except for a few particularly memorable faces, many appeared foreign to her.
"Changhuan?" Came a surprised voice.
Gu Shengyin turned her head to see a girl in an off-the-shoulder sweater with a bun hairstyle smiling at her.
She looked at the vaguely familiar face and took a second before responding, "Sisi?"
Sisi laughed, "Itâs quite something that our big designer still remembers me."
Several people came over to greet Gu Shengyin.
Since Sisi was most familiar with her, she sat right next to her.
Gu Shengyin glanced around and asked, "Why havenât I seen Chang Ru?"
Sisi laughed, "I remember back in high school you two had the worst relationship; how do you still remember her? Is this that legendary feeling of love through hate?"
Gu Shengyin chuckled, "Just a bit curious."
Sisi said, "I heard Chang Ru was supposed to come, but she might be a bit late."
Just as she finished speaking, the door to the room was pushed open again, and the elegant woman who walked in was indeed Chang Ru.
Even after five years, Chang Ruâs popularity was still unwavering.
The classmates all remembered this class president and came forward to greet her.
Chang Ru also noticed Gu Shengyin; after exchanging pleasantries with those around her, she walked towards Gu Shengyin.
"Long time no see," Chang Ru smiled at Gu Shengyin.
Sisi motioned to the seat next to her for Chang Ru to sit down, "Changhuan was just asking why you hadnât come, and here you are now."
Chang Ru seemed a bit surprised and smiled at Gu Shengyin, "For Changhuan to remember me so long, I must have really annoyed you back in high school."
Her words were mostly teasing, and she couldnât help but laugh.
"By the way, I heard youâre still entangled with Lin Ze?" Chang Ru looked at Gu Shengyin and asked.
Gu Shengyin chuckled, "What do you mean by âentangledâ?"
Chang Ru rolled her eyes, "You seem to have a big temper, how are you so unclear when it comes to Lin Ze? If I were you, Iâd have given up after less than two years of chasing."
Sisi couldnât help but interject, "Nowadays, itâs not our Changhuan pursuing others; everyone knows Lin Ze is pursuing our Changhuan."
Chang Ru had been abroad for business recently, and news had been sparse, so she was quite interested upon hearing this, "Oh? Whatâs the situation?"
Sisi then chattered away, explaining the ins and outs of the situation to Chang Ru.
Listening quietly beside them, Gu Shengyin couldnât help but laugh aloud.
The circulating version really was twists and turns, like a dramatic play.
If it werenât for the fact that she and Lin Ze were the protagonists of this story, she wouldnât even recognize her own tale being told.
