After she fed them, she finally went to prepare breakfast for her husband and herself. Today, she made tomato–bean sprout soup, scallion pancakes, and steamed egg.

When they finished breakfast and the house chores, it was already 9 o’clock in the morning.

Seeing that they had nothing to do at home and there was no need to go check on the workers, Yao Zhi said, "Husband, can you accompany me to the town?"

Fu Chen’an hung the clothes on the bamboo poles and wiped his sweat. "Okay. I will go prepare the cart first."

Yao Zhi smiled and nodded. "Then I will prepare something first."

While her husband went to prepare the cart, she went to their room. After she closed the door, she opened the system’s storage and took out several sacks of rabbit fur.

When Fu Chen’an entered the room, he was surprised to see so much rabbit fur. He looked at his wife and noticed the bracelet on her wrist. Thinking about the storage bag she gave him, a thought flashed through his mind.

Yao Zhi noticed her husband’s gaze and chose to say nothing. They reached a tacit understanding and carried the rabbit fur to the front yard.

Seeing Xiao Lu waiting for them, she asked, "Husband, why don’t you use Yun Feng?"

"Horses are rare and precious. Using a warhorse to pull the cart would be too eye-catching."

When she heard this, Yao Zhi nodded and had no objection. Before they left, she reminded Ye Ying and Bai Xue to watch the house and not let strangers enter without permission.

Riding on their donkey cart, they went to Zhu’an Town. Since most of the villagers were now working for them, only children and the elderly could be seen in the village. Seeing them, they greeted them with warm smiles.

Soon after they left the village, Fu Chen’an turned to his wife and said, "Wife, did you tell everyone that it was my idea to open the wasteland?"

"I didn’t say anything. It’s they who think it was your idea."

He stared at his wife and shook his head. After a moment of silence, he suddenly said, "Wife, I think we need to inform my superior about our family buying land."

Thinking about the plot, Yao Zhi had no objection and agreed readily. "Okay."

45 minutes later, they arrived at Zhu’an Town. After Fu Chen’an showed his military token, the town guards let them enter without paying the entrance fee.

Unlike usual, they didn’t go to the horse market to entrust their donkey cart but instead went to a clothing store. After they parked the donkey cart in an alley, Yao Zhi took a sack of rabbit fur and said, "Husband, you wait here. I will go ask if they want to buy our rabbit fur."

Fu Chen’an never doubted his wife’s abilities and nodded.

Carrying the gunny sack, Yao Zhi walked into the store. When a clerk saw her, she walked over and greeted her with a smile. "This young lady, this must be your first time visiting our store."

"You can call me Xi’er. Do you want to buy ready-made clothes or customize them? We also sell fabric here. Our store’s seamstress’s skills can be guaranteed, and we have been trusted by nobles to make their clothes for many years."

When Yao Zhi heard the clerk’s smooth words, she felt a little embarrassed. She waited until the clerk finished speaking before she said, "Sister Xi’er, I didn’t come to buy clothes or fabric."

Hearing this, Xi’er was taken aback. She glanced at the gunny sack she was carrying, then observed her from head to toe. Noticing her hairstyle, she changed the way she addressed her.

"Sister-in-law, are you here to sell something?"

Seeing that she was still treated politely, Yao Zhi’s impression of the store improved instantly. She nodded and untied the sack.

At first, Xi’er thought that the items sold by a village woman would be common and cheap. But when she saw the white, smooth fur inside, her eyes widened in delight.

Although this year’s winter came late, the weather was getting colder with each passing day. Soon, there might be snowfall. Orders for winter clothes, winter boots, winter gloves, and winter cloaks were far more than last year.

But due to the prolonged drought, the supply of good fur was not even half of last year’s amount. The Store Manager had been having a headache finding a supplier.

When Yao Zhi met her gaze, she smiled but didn’t greet her.

The store manager observed her for a moment before introducing herself. "Greetings, young lady. I’m the store manager, Jiang Muling. I heard from Xi’er that you have something for sale. May I take a look at the goods?"

Yao Zhi nodded and replied, "Manager Jiang, my surname is Yao."

After she said this, she showed the rabbit fur to Jiang Muling. When she saw the goods, the skepticism she previously held disappeared. She picked up some rabbit fur and examined it closely.

5 minutes later, she put the rabbit fur back into the sack and asked, "Yao-shi, how do you plan to sell your goods?"
