"Oh? You know me?"
Unfortunately for Soren, he forgot that the being in front of him was anything but normal.
Recalling her name, even in his mind, wasnât a wise thing to do.
For a moment, Soren didnât know what to do as he stood frozen on the spot, staring at the tall figure of the succubus posing right in front of him.
With those scanty clothes barely hiding anything on her body, she looked irresistibly enticing.
Too bad, she was a Demon Lord who could kill him in a second.
"You are quite interesting, boy. You have such high soul power and charm for a human of your level, and you even have the relic of our Succubus Tribe in your hand."
Lilith seemed intrigued by Soren as she slowly played with the hook of the
Crimson Queen Lash
while evaluating him.
"Not to mention, you can look at me without being affected despite being so weak. And..."
Lilith paused slightly and looked at Soren deeply, her crimson eyes glowing brightly for a split second.
For a moment, Soren tensed up, thinking he was being attacked, but it seemed not, as Lilith spoke again, this time with wonder.
"And you have the aura of a true blood. Boy, did you get some inheritance from an Abyssal entity?"
Lilith asked again with genuine interest. Her piercing gaze waited for Sorenâs answer.
âTrue blood? Inheritance?â
Unfortunately, Soren didnât know what she meant by that.
He did have a
Kingswell bloodline
, but he was sure it had no relation whatsoever to the Abyss. The only thing that remotely connected to it was the Unique Dungeon,
Fallen Kingâs Cellar
.
âMaybe she meant that?â
Soren wasnât sure and gave Lilith a puzzled look. By now, he had relaxed a bit, considering panicking did nothing.
"Looking at your reaction, you seem unsure. Well, it doesnât matter whether you got an inheritance or not."
Lilith seemed not to mind Sorenâs silence. Instead, she lowered her head and looked at the
Crimson Queen Lash
in her hand.
*Swoosh!*
Surprisingly, despite belonging to Soren, it slithered into her arms just as naturally as it did on his.
It was as if Lilith were the true owner.
âSo much for being a bound artifact.â
Soren couldnât help but twitch his mouth speechlessly. Wasnât a bound artifact supposed to be unstealable?
âMaybe because she was also a succubus?â
Soren was still trying to make sense of it when Lilith suddenly raised her slender hand and pricked her finger against the hook of the whip, letting her blood drip onto it.
The moment she did so, the hook visibly trembled before rapidly absorbing that drop of blood, leaving not a single trace behind.
*Swoosh!*
Simultaneously, Soren saw the whip shine brightly before being engulfed in a pink mist, then abruptly disappearing from Lilithâs hand.
âHmm?â
Surprisingly, Soren suddenly found an additional item inside his inventory out of nowhere. Without a doubt, it was the same
Crimson Queen Lash
Lilith had been playing with just moments ago.
âWhat happened?â
For a moment, he was confused when Lilith spoke,
"Donât worry, I wasnât trying to steal your toy. In fact, I even helped you a bit, you see."
Lilith seemed offended by Sorenâs look and explained.
"Forget about this. By the way, tell me how you know my existence. I donât think I have publicly shown my existence outside yet."
Finally, her tone became a bit serious as her crimson eyes focused on Soren, putting pressure on him.
This time, it didnât seem like she would let Soren stay silent.
"..."
"Umm....I...guessed?"
Seeing that she wasnât going to let it go, Soren tentatively replied, only to receive a beautiful eye roll from her.
"Boy...are you playing games with me?"
It seemed even the easygoing Lilith was annoyed by Soren.
"No...I mean, I really wasnât lying to you."
Seeing her reaction, Soren quickly defended himself with an awkward smile. After all, he really did guess who she was from the crimson moon on her forehead.
Even in the game, he never saw her.
"I really guessed who you are, Lord Lilith. But if you are curious how I know of your existence, I have to mention Ruther. I know for a fact that he was your servant."
Soren knew that such a high-level existence could detect lies. So, he directly brought Ruther into the conversation.
He knew of Lilithâs existence because of Ruther. That was no lie. Even if it was from the Ruther in the game he played before, it was still the truth.
"Ruther? That puny human?"
Sure enough, Lilith realized Soren was telling the truth, as her eyes turned as dark as the abyss.
"That stupid slave...how dare he expose my identity?"
But that only made her angrier, so much so that her aura flared up again, pressing down on everything around them.
"Ugh..."
In an instant, Soren felt a suffocating pressure crash over him, as if the very air had turned heavy.
His body went completely stiff again, a strange corruption seeping through him from within, as though something was slowly gnawing at him from the inside out.
Feeling the overwhelming pressure up close, his breath hitched as cold sweat broke out across his skin. For a moment, even his thoughts felt sluggish.
*Click!*
However, just as Soren felt it was unbearable, the surroundings suddenly became still, as if someone had pressed a pause button.
*Crack!*
Then, as if reality itself cracked, Soren felt his surroundings distort and fracture. Even faint fissures began to appear across the world around him like broken glass.
The scenery was so absurd that it was almost as absurd as Lilithâs appearance.
"Hmm? Did you already notice?"
Lilith didnât seem surprised by the change, though, as she only tilted her head up, looking at the sky.
Only then did Soren realize that, without knowing when it happened, there was no red moon in the sky above at all. It had somehow completely disappeared, or rather, been covered.
"Tsk...it seems I canât stay any longer."
