Chapter 44

Qin Yu clung to the woman called An Ning, her voice pleading:

"Ning Ning‑jie~ let me be with Teacher~ please, I beg you~"

An Ning’s expression was troubled. "Miss, you know that’s not allowed."

Qin Yu tried to struggle free, but An Ning stood like a mountain.

In moments, Qin Yu’s nails had raked bloody welts across An Ning’s hand. An Ning’s face darkened.

"Miss, if you keep this up, I’ll have to call President Qin."

"Don’t!" Qin Yu blurted.

By then I’d recovered and was furious. I stood, moving to pull An Ning off her but though she looked delicate, her strength was enormous. With one over‑the‑shoulder throw she slammed me back into the hot spring pool, sending up a huge splash.

Coughing up a couple mouthfuls of water, I suddenly remembered who she was.

She was An Ning, the senior‑year history teacher. I’d seen her at school once before.

Only, I didn’t actually know her if I hadn’t memorized the faces of everyone on the faculty, I might not have recognized her at all.

My mind raced. It seemed Qin Yu had more hidden in her life than I’d suspected.

This An Ning, I guessed, wasn’t at school primarily to teach. She was there, for some reason, to protect Qin Yu or to watch her.

By the time I climbed out of the pool, Qin Yu and An Ning were gone.

Damn it.

I just wanted to fuck a virgin, not stir up trouble.

But pursuing Qin Yu further might drag me into some completely unknown mess.

I was already more than satisfied with my current life at home there was Keke, Gu Ling, Qianyi, Ruojin, Shen Li, as well as Yan Yi, Zhu Ying, He Shuyu, any of whom I could play with whenever I pleased.

Maybe I shouldn’t disrupt the rare peaceful stretch I’d found.

Drying myself with a towel, I hesitated, unable to decide.
