"Moooo!!â"
Rosvisser heard a strange, loud bellow echoing through the hall.
Turning toward the sound, a complex expression appeared on her icy, elegant face.
Ten minutes ago, her clever but often impractical husband, who usually excelled only at slaying dragons, told her he had a plan to help her practice *Soul Judgment*.
Now, ten minutes later, he was standing in front of her, holding the reins of a massive bull as large as an elephant.
With anyone else, the scene might have felt absurdly out of place; but when it came to Leon, it somehow made perfect sense.
Whatever Leon got involved with was either refreshingly innovative⌠or a complete disaster.
Still, Rosvisser couldnât figure out why he brought a bull to her sacred hall.
More importantly, *where* did he get this bull?
âThis here is an S-rank beastâthe Furyhorn Bull,â Leon explained with an amused grin. âGenetically speaking, itâs a mutated species of the armored yak.â
"Due to the mutation, itâs got significantly enhanced power, defense, and speed compared to your standard armored yak."
âNot to mention its heightenedââ
âMOOOO!!!â
Leon (pointing like Donnie Yen): âAnd, of course, itâs got a temper to match.â
Rosvisser (frustration level at 20%): âI donât need a lecture on dangerous creatures. What I *do* want to know is how you got this thing into my Sanctuary!â
âOh, you were in the practice grounds earlier, and Anna was handling some of your duties. I happened to pass by and heard this big guy had wandered into your tribeâs territory. Anna was about to call for help, but I couldnât resist taking on the task myself.â
Rosvisser (frustration level at 40%): âAs the Silver Dragon Prince, you *really* donât need to be this enthusiastic about cattle herdingâŚâ
âJust lending a helping hand! No big deal!â
Rosvisser (frustration level at 60%): âSo, what exactly do you plan to do now with this âhelping handâ of yours?â
âI brought him here to be your training partner. You mentioned *Soul Judgment* would be more effective on a highly emotional target, right?â
Leon confidently patted the Furyhorn Bullâs massive head. âAnd this guy here fits the bill perfectly. Just listen to its nameâitâs downright furious.â
Rosvisser (frustration level at 80%): âI didnât even tell you about *Soul Judgmentâs* effect until just this morning. So, whatâs the *real* reason you brought him here?â
Leon grinned slyly. âGuess sharing the same bed for so long has taught you a thing or two about me.â
Rosvisser (frustration level at 95%): âCould you⌠just say it all in one breath?â
âThe girls are coming home for a break tonight, so I thought weâd make beef hotpot.â
Rosvisser (???):
âBut Noa, Moon, and Aurora together donât even weigh enough to handle a bull this size!â
Leon waved her off, indicating she should calm down.
He tied the Furyhorn Bull to a sturdy stone pillar, a fixture Noa often used for her Chidori training. Even after thousands of blasts, it had never budged, proving its resilience and leaving the bull no chance to break free.
Leon then approached Rosvisser, reaching out to take her hand as she cooled down from her temper. She initially pulled her hand away, feigning indifference to his attempt at affection. But after a moment, she allowed him to hold her hand.
Together, they walked up to the towering bull. Leon gazed up at the creature and said,
âNo beast, no matter how fierce, would dare trespass into dragon territory unless it was truly furious, even out of its mind. For practicing magic, you need the right target. Only then can you track your progress in real-time. SoâŚâ
Leon turned to the silver-haired beauty beside him. âGo on, try it. No harm in that, right?â
Rosvisser shot him a sidelong glance and sighed in playful annoyance, âFine, fine. Just step back so you donât end up as collateral.â
Leon smirked, âYou got it!â
He moved to the side, and Rosvisser began gathering her Primordial Magic.
âMoooo!! ă˝(`Đ´)ďžâ
The Furyhorn Bull bellowed, still protesting its forced captivity. Little did it know, if it didnât perform well, it might soon end up as beef stew.
Leon remained vigilant, prepared to step in if things got out of hand. After all, he had to ensure Rosvisserâs safety⌠not because he was *concerned* about her, of course. It was mainly because if their daughters came home to find their mother knocked out, heâd have a lot of explaining to do.
The swirling winds of magic brushed against Leonâs face, snapping him out of his idle thoughts. Glancing over, he saw Rosvisser deftly gathering her power.
âMuch faster than when Konstantin attacked the Red Dragon Sanctuary,â he murmured, smiling in admiration. âMy wife is truly progressing.â
As her Primordial Magic gathered, Rosvisser began casting *Soul Judgment*. The wind lifted her hair, her gown, her sleeves, and even the pendant resting at her neck. This time, she could feel the energy changing in her grasp much more than when she had trained alone earlier.
A spark of excitement flashed in her eyes as she maintained her focus. The energy in her hands, initially milky white, gradually morphed into a rainbow-hued light, glowing with seven distinct colors. Like a small rainbow.
Looking down at the multicolored sphere in her hand, Rosvisser felt a surge of triumph. According to her books, this was the first step in mastering *Soul Judgment*.
And soâŚ
She clenched her fist, crushing the sphere in her palm. A dazzling cascade of rainbow light burst through her fingers, glittering in a halo of pearly energy.
Rosvisser lifted her head and aimed directly at the enraged bull.
âMoooo! ă˝(`Đ´)ďžâ
Sensing danger, the bull thrashed against its restraints.
Seizing the moment, Rosvisser unleashed *Soul Judgment*.
The rainbow light shot toward the Furyhorn Bull, enveloping it in a cloud of dust-like fragments. It struggled and roared, low and strained.
Breathing heavily, Rosvisser steadied herself. Even this mild attempt at *Soul Judgment* had drained a substantial amount of her energy.
âLooks like Primordial Magic really isââ
âMOOOO!â
Before she could finish, the Furyhorn Bull resumed its defiant thrashing.
âIt didnât work?â Rosvisser gritted her teeth, summoning the last of her strength to try again.
One more chance⌠she might not need to push herself this hard, but if she didnât seize this opportunity to practice, her "training partner" would be simmering in a pot tonight.
She activated *Soul Judgment* a second time.
Yet againâŚ
âMoo? Moooo? âŽďźâŻâ˝â°ďźââ
Rosvisser: ?
âYou⌠dare mock me!â
With that, she spread her dragon wings, transforming into her dragon form. Though the bull was elephant-sized, it looked like an insect next to the Dragon Queen.
âMooo⌠Mooooooo! ÎŁ(ăŁÂ°Đ°;)ăŁâ
The silver dragon loomed over it, her dragon breath stirring, her immense aura making the bull almost stop breathing from the sheer pressure.
âROOOOAAAAR!!â
The deafening roar shook the heavens.
Bull: xďšx
Rosvisser opened her jaws, gathering a scorching dragon flame.
âCalm down, Your Majesty!â Leon rushed forward, âOne dragon breath, and weâll end up with charred beefâburnt to a crisp!â
After a brief hesitation, Rosvisser reluctantly swallowed her flame, transforming back into her human form. But as she retracted her wings, she felt the world tilt, her magic and stamina drained to the point of exhaustion. Just as she was about to collapse, Leon caught her in his arms.
âNow howâd you manage to work yourself into such a state while training?â he asked, smiling at her.
Leaning against his chest, Rosvisser pouted defiantly, âIt laughed at me, so I taught it a lesson.â
âOh, if anyone can hold a grudge against a bull, itâd be the Dragon Queen herself.â
With a sigh, Leon steadied her arm and helped her back toward the hall. After a few steps, Rosvisser stumbled again.
With a small chuckle, Leon scooped her up in a princess carry.
Her tail curled slightly, a soft blush gracing her cheeks as she muttered, âI can walk on my ownâŚâ
âSure you can,â he said with a smirk.
âStill⌠I didnât see much of an effect. I wonder when Iâll finally master it.â
Leon paused, glancing back at the bull, which now looked dazed after Rosvisserâs fierce display. Thinking back to the scene, he said,
âActually, it did have some effect. Didnât you notice?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âThat bull was wild and angry, wasnât it? But after the first *Soul Judgment*, it calmed down noticeably. And by the second attempt, it almost completely lost its ârageââyou could tell by its calls.â
Rosvisser thought back, then nodded thoughtfully. âYou might be right⌠Wait a minute, is this something youâre
making up to comfort me?â
âYour Majesty, I may have many faults, but lying to you isnât one of them.â
âDonât go mixing sweet talk into moments like this, thanks.â
They chuckled as they returned to the bedroom, where Leon gently laid her down and pulled a blanket over her.
âRest up for now. The girls will be home tonight.â
âAlright⌠what about you?â
Leon rolled up his sleeves with a wry smile.
âIâve got a date with a soon-to-be beef hotpot bull.â
