After checking in, the two headed upstairs and located their assigned room according to the number on the keycard.
Before opening the door, both felt a touch of nervous anticipation.
Although theyâd convinced each other with their seamless and flawless acting that they were âforcedâ to share a room out of sheer necessity, they hadnât had time to discuss what kind of room the receptionist would actually give them.
SoâŠ
Would it be an over-the-top S&M suite filled with props, or a cozy, romantic room with a rose-covered waterbed?
*Click.*
The key slid into the lock, turned gently, and the door opened.
With a mix of tension and excitement, they stepped inside.
What greeted them was a simple, tidy room with a large, round bed draped in a thin canopy, filled with a pleasant lavender fragrance.
No strange props, no bathtubs filled with rose petals.
Seeing this, Leon and Rosvisser both sighed in relief.
Thank goodness, it looked like tonight would be a peaceful night.
After all, theyâd been âmarriedâ for five years, and flashy stuff like that didnât suit âan old married coupleâ like themâ
The same âold married coupleâ who regularly engaged in rounds of âprisoner,â âteacher,â or âbunny waitressâ roleplay thought this.
However, after the initial sigh of relief, a slight disappointment crept into their hearts. The craving for the forbidden and thrilling⊠truly a basic instinct for any creature.
Leon stepped into the room and pulled the curtains closed, shutting out the moonlight and city noise.
The lighting in the room was a warm amber, soft and relaxing.
Rosvisser opened the frosted glass bathroom door and peeked inside.
Satisfied with the setup, she asked from the doorway, âAre you going first, or should I?â
âLadies first.â
The queen raised an eyebrow. âOh, playing the gentleman now?â
Leon rubbed his nose, thumping his chest proudly with a thumbs-up. âOf course. Didnât you see me at the front desk just now? I was being a complete gentleman, not trying to take advantage of you by insisting on two rooms. But alas, only one room was left. Sigh~â
Rosvisser snorted, thinking, *The nerve of this guy, putting on such a show.*
*If I werenât smart and considerate, youâd never even have a chance of sharing a hotel room with me.*
âOh yes, such a pity the hotel didnât let you flaunt your gentlemanly spirit,â she replied in a faux regretful tone.
Leon smirked, thinking, *Little dragon, so easy to fool. Just a little act and Iâve got you right where I want you.*
They continued their banter, each not giving an inch in their performance.
After a few more exchanges, Rosvisser finally released her grip on the bathroom door.
âYou go first. I need to review the points from todayâs meeting.â
Leon nodded. âAlright.â
With that, he went into the bathroom.
Once she heard the sound of running water, Rosvisser moved to the wardrobe and pulled out a white bathrobe, slipping it on.
Removing her dress and heels, she immediately felt a lot more comfortable.
She then sat down at the wooden desk, grabbed a pen and some paper, and began recalling the details from her private meeting earlier that day.
It was a habit of hers as a workaholic. No matter how good her memory was, she preferred writing things down.
As they say, *even the faintest ink is better than the best memory.*
About half an hour later, the sound of water stopped.
Leon emerged from the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist, his chiseled, inverted triangle torso still glistening with droplets that slowly trickled down his muscles.
Rosvisser gave him a casual glance before looking away;
then another glance before looking away again;
then, yet again, sneaking another glance and quickly averting her eyes;
and once moreâ
âIf you want to look, just look. Sneaking peeks like a thief is just silly,â Leon said, drying his hair with a towel, fully confident in showing off his physique in front of Her Majesty.
Rosvisserâs cheeks reddened. âWhoâs looking? Iâve seen it more times than I can countâIâm not interested.â
With that, she quickly stood up, her head low, eyes downcast, and shuffled hurriedly to the bathroom.
Leon smiled softly, opting not to tease her further.
He moved over to the bed and noticed a few magazines and books on the nearby shelf.
He picked one up at random and flipped through it. Mostly celebrity gossip and romance novelsânot exactly must-read material.
In fact, there was probably no gossip in this world more sensational than the tale of Leon and Rosvisserâs legendary human-dragon romance;
As for romance novelsâŠ
Leon read a few pages, smacking his lips as he mentally compared it to his and Rosvisserâs everyday life, then concluded,
âThis isnât even close to sweet!â
Nothing could beat the drama between him and his dragon queen.
Setting the book back, his gaze shifted to the nightstand.
Besides a few complimentary hotel beverages, there were⊠some unfamiliar items.
Leon picked up a small brown bottle and shook it. From the sound, it seemed to be some kind of liquid.
He turned the bottle around and found the product description.
âSilky Smooth, Never Greasy. Durex Ultra Smooth Edition.â
He read it out loud, and noticed a line in the fine print,
âNote: edible.â
âEd⊠edible?â
*Oh!*
After a momentâs pause, Leon realized what it was for.
Even though theyâd been married five years, they didnât stay in hotels often, so he hadnât realized that this sort of thing was a staple in every hotel room.
Just then, Rosvisser finished her shower.
The glass door opened, and a smooth, slender leg slowly stepped out, a small, delicate foot landing on the carpet. Her skin was so soft that the water droplets slid right off her calf, unable to cling to her.
Her silver hair clung to her cheeks and shoulders, and with her makeup removed, Her Majestyâs face was flawless and breathtakingly beautiful.
Her long eyelashes were still damp, fluttering as she blinked, giving her an adorable, almost innocent look.
Her bathrobe was loosely tied, exposing her swan-like neck, her collarbone, and a tantalizing hint of cleavage.
And there, etched in silver-white scales, was her dragon mark.
Leon gave her a casual glance before looking away;
then another glance before looking away again;
then, yet again, sneaking another glance and quickly averting his eyes;
and once moreâ
âIf you want to look, just look. Donât act like a thief,â Rosvisser repeated his words from half an hour earlier, throwing them back at him verbatim.
Leon pouted, âWhoâs acting like a thief? Iâm just⊠appreciating, okay?â
Rosvisser raised a brow, gracefully settling beside him on the bed.
âSo you gentlemen call it âappreciationâ when you keep sneaking glances?â
âCorrection, looking at my own wife isnât sneaking glances.â
âCorrectionâitâs a *fake* wife.â
âA fake wife is still a wife.â
âHmph,â she chuckled softly, covering her mouth. âWhatever you say.â
As she finished speaking, she noticed the item in his hand and asked, âWhatâs that?â
âUh⊠a coupleâs heat enhancer?â
âA coupleâs⊠heat enhancer?â
Rosvisser took it, glancing over the label herself, quickly realizing its purpose.
âAh, yes⊠quite the warming tool, indeed.â
While they did have a variety of âhomeworkâ routines, they rarely used such items.
âWhat else is there?â she asked.
With newfound interest, they began examining the other âcoupleâs accessories.â
âExperience the thrill of breathlessness, like a python coiling tightâDurex Restraint Collar, giving your partner a new thrill.â
âThis one! Durex Dragon MintââStraight to the heavens, unlike anything else!ââ
Leon blinked. âDragon Mint? Whatâs that?â
âEver heard of catnip?â
âOf course. Cats get all snuggly after they sniff it.â
âWell, Dragon Mint has a similar effect on dragons in a relaxed state.â
Leonâs mischievous side stirred as he shook the Dragon Mint bottle. âSo, how about we tryââ
âDeclined,â Rosvisser immediately made an âXâ with her hands.
No way was she going to let herself turn into some soft little pet around Leon.
She was a queen! A proud dragon!
âLetâs see the rest,â she said, gesturing toward the other products.
Leon picked up another one.
âDurex Ultra Stamina Kit: Endless power, infinite energyâeffect comparable to⊠Dragon Force?!â
âThis is perfect!â Rosvisserâs eyes lit up. âLeon, your stamina has been slipping; this suits you perfectly!â
Leon shot her a look. âWhat do you mean, slipping? Every time we finish our âhomework,â itâs till dawn! And besidesââ
âAnd besides?â
âI can train Dragon Force myself; no need for this stuff.â
He placed the stamina kit back.
Rosvisser chuckled.
With âtill dawnâ on her mind, she glanced at the wall clock, noticing it was nearly midnight.
âLetâs go to sleep. Itâs been a long day.â
âOh.â
As they moved, they both noticed the sofa across from the bed.
It was just the right size for an adult to sleep on.
By all accounts, âgentlemanlyâ General Leon shouldâve volunteered to take the sofa;
And Her Majesty, who wasnât one to be close to men
, shouldâve commanded her âcaptiveâ to sleep on it.
But!
The next second, they both completely ignored the sofa as if it didnât exist.
What sofa?
Thereâs only one bed in this room!
*Sigh,* once again âforcedâ to share the bed with their fake wife/husband.
They climbed into bed, pulling the covers up, lying back-to-back.
A good stretch of empty space separated them.
âGood night.â
âGood night.â
Ten minutes later.
âLeon.â
âYes?â
âMy backâs itchy⊠can you⊠take a look?â
They didnât actually need an excuse for âhomeworkâ; some couples just enjoy the thrill of finding one.
