"What⊠is that weapon?"
"No idea. I've never seen anything like it."
Even the Yiren Tribe, renowned as top-tier weapon forgers, knew little about the golden spear in Rosvisser's hands.
But Taros and Karl recognized it instantlyâ
It was the very thing their master had commanded them to find in Samaelâ
"The Key of Kronosâwhy is it in that dragon's hands?"
Taros tightened his grip on his black great scythe.
Just moments ago, he had mocked Rosvisser for fighting without a weapon, calling her a primitive savageâ
But now, the aura emanating from that spear made even him uneasy.
Karl's brows furrowed as he replayed the moment before the ice mountain had crashed down.
"Could it be⊠that white-haired girl?"
"What do you mean? Are you saying the key we've been desperately searching for⊠is a second-reincarnated being?"
"I'm not sure, but from what happened just now, that girl is definitely connected to the Key of Kronos."
Karlâs eyes darkened as he turned toward Rosvisser.
His voice grew heavier.
"But regardless of what it is⊠our mission just got a whole lot more complicated."
â
From a distance, Rosvisser lowered her gaze to the golden spear in her hands.
The silver shaft was etched with golden patterns, radiating a noble, divine presence.
Even from a simple grip, Rosvisser could feel the immense power surging through it.
This wasnât modern magic.
It wasnât even Primordial Force.
It was something completely differentâa new kind of power entirely.
"XiaoxueâŠ"
No one else had noticedâ
But Rosvisser knew.
This spear was Xiaoxue herself, transformed into a weapon.
Everything ended here.
Yet, just as their fingertips had been about to touch,
The spear had changed in her grasp.
She had called out Xiaoxue's name, but instead of a voice respondingâ
The spear pulsed with a faint energy wave.
Rosvisser's silver eyes flickered with hope.
She let out a breath, relief washing over her.
"Thank you, Xiaoxue. Nowâ"
She raised the golden spear, its radiance carving a perfect arc through the air.
Taking her battle stance, she fixed her gaze on Karl and Taros.
"Itâs your turn now."
â
Sensing Rosvisserâs surging energy, Karl immediately shouted a warningâ
"Be careful, Taros! Sheâs moving!"
But before he even finished speakingâ
A silver streak flashed forward at a speed far beyond what Rosvisser had displayed before.
Karl and Taros barely had time to react beforeâ
Rosvisser swung her spear in a sweeping arc.
Karl retreated quickly, raising his staff to summon an ice shield for defense.
The shield formed just in time, positioning itself perfectly between Rosvisser and the two men.
Butâ
The golden spear sliced through it like paper, shattering it in an instant.
Karl's Burning Dragonflame-Infused Ice Shieldâdestroyed in mere moments.
Taros barely had time to process his shock before he manipulated the ice shards, reshaping them into razor-sharp blades and launching them toward Rosvisser.
"Big, sweeping attacks like that leave you wide open! No matter how fast you are, you wonât dodge this at close range!"
Taros sneered.
But Rosvisserâ
Let out a soft chuckle.
"Who said I was going to dodge?"
"Whatâ?"
Before the ice blades could reach her,
She poured her magic into the spearâ
The next second, golden flames erupted from the weapon, instantly disintegrating the ice shards.
Karl retreated further, keeping a sharp eye on the spear.
"The Key amplifies her magic output⊠Be careful, Taros."
Karl was still analyzing how to counter her powerâ
But Taros had his eyes elsewhere.
He wasnât watching Rosvisser anymore.
He was watching the Yiren villagers.
With a smirk, he rested his scythe on his shoulder, his voice carrying a calculated menace.
"Karl, that dragon is protecting these people."
"So letâs use that against her, shall we?"
Karl followed Tarosâs gazeâ
The Yiren women and children were huddled together behind the warriorsâ
But they had no guardian beast with them.
"You're right. If she wants to protect them, with her speed, she could retreat at any time."
"No problem, then."
They had already slaughtered entire tribes before.
Karl wasnât as hot-tempered as Tarosâ
But when it came to ruthlessness, the two of them were no different.
"You deal with the Yiren. Iâll keep her occupied," Taros ordered.
Karl nodded. "Understood."
â
The Void Army duo split up.
Karl turned away from the battlefield, heading straight for Abu and the Yiren villagers.
The moment Rosvisser saw Karl break away, she realized their plan.
"BastardsâŠ!"
There was no time to curse them.
Gripping her spear, she bent her knees, wings flaring openâ
Thenâ
Her right foot slammed into the ground.
She shot forward like a bullet.
The shockwave of her takeoff sent a blast of snow exploding into the air.
A silver streak tore through the ruins of the ice mountain, heading straight for Karl.
"Oi, Silver Dragon! Don't forget about me!"
Taros leaped into the air, swinging his great black scythe, and once again, a spatial rift appeared in Rosvisserâs path.
Just like beforeâ
She charged right into the rift, and before she could react, she was teleported to the other side of the ice mountain ruins.
Rosvisser gritted her teeth, frustration surging through her.
"Twice⊠I let them pull me with the same damn trick"
The Queen seethed, but she wasted no timeâ
Pouring her power into the golden spear, she swung down with full force at the massive wall of ice before her.
"BOOM!!"
A golden flash split the sky.
The mountain of ice, large enough to bury an entire city, was cleaved apart in an instant.
With a single blow, Rosvisser had carved a direct path through the wreckage.
With a flap of her wings, she gripped her spear tightly and shot forward through the gap.
â
"Hah! Do you think just increasing your speed will stop me from teleporting you?"
"You really underestimate me!"
Taros swung his scythe once more.
Immediatelyâ
Dozens of spatial rifts tore open around Rosvisser, completely trapping her within a maze of teleportation portals.
No matter which way she movedâ
She would only be sent elsewhere.
Hovering in the air, Rosvisserâs grip tightened on her spear, anxiety creeping in.
She could see itâ
Taros was moments away from striking down Abu and the remaining Yiren villagers.
There was no time to hesitate.
Rosvisser gripped her spear with both hands, the tip pointing toward the ground.
This timeâ
She poured the Primordial Force into the weapon.
A surging magical force erupted from her, and even Taros felt the hair on his neck rise.
"Shitâwhat kind of energy is thatâŠ?"
Rosvisser roared, slamming the spear into the ground.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!!"
The instant the tip touched the earthâ
A massive golden energy wave exploded outward.
The pure force of its impact devastated everything in its range.
Buildings shattered, streets ruptured, the ruins behind her were obliteratedâ
And most importantlyâ
The spatial rifts around her were forcibly erased.
â
"T-Thatâs impossible?!"
"She canceled my spatial magic⊠with pure energy alone?!"
Taros stood frozen in disbelief, his body momentarily stunned by the sheer power of her attack.
Rosvisser didnât waste a second.
With the rifts gone, she launched herself toward Karlâ
Butâ
She was too late.
The Yiren patrol warriorsâincluding Dorotonâwere already lying on the ground, defeated.
And nowâ
Karlâs next target was Abu.
"They even built statues for you. How ridiculous."
"Guess now, weâll just use your corpse as a new monument."
With that, Karl conjured a blade of iceâ
And thrust it toward Abuâs head.
â
"No!"
Even at full speed, Rosvisser wouldnât make it in time.
Her mind racedâ
Then, without hesitation, she flipped her grip on her spear, preparing to throw it.
And just as she committed to the motionâ
A thin, silver thread appeared in her vision.
It stretched from the tip of her spearâ
Straight to Karlâs heart.
There was no time to question it.
She hurled the golden spear forward.
â
The golden streak tore through the air, a blinding flash, cutting through the battlefield in a perfect line.
Karl, just as his ice blade neared Abuâs forehead, felt a chilling presence from his side.
He turnedâ
The golden spear was coming straight for him.
"Shit⊠I can't dodge thisâ!"
With no choice, Karl raised his staff, using it as a shield against the oncoming attack.
Butâ
The moment the spear struckâ
"CRACK!"
Karlâs staffâhis Void Weaponâwas split in two.
And the force of the impact sent him flying backward, rolling across the snow-covered battlefield.
â
Rosvisser, having exerted all her strength into that single throw, collapsed onto one knee, struggling to regain her breath.
"It⊠it hitâŠ"
Her body felt drained, momentarily unable to move.
But Tarosâ
Taros had snapped out of his shock.
And now, he was completely losing it.
"YOU⊠DESTROYED THE VOID WEAPON THAT OUR MASTER GAVE US?!"
Fury twisted his face as he lunged forward, gripping his great scythe with both hands.
"YOU DAMN SAMAELIAN WORMâIâM GOING TO SLAUGHTER YOU!!!"
Rosvisser looked up at the approaching scythe, trying to force her body to moveâ
But her muscles wouldnât respond.
"ShitâŠ"
"DIE!!!"
Taros leapt high into the air, his scythe raised overhead, preparing to bring it down with full force.
â
"STOP!!"
The golden spear shimmered, shifting shapeâ
Xiaoxue reappeared, stumbling forward in the snow, desperately reaching for Rosvisser.
"Aunt Rosvisser!!"
She trippedâbut kept crawling forward, reaching outâ
"Go to hell! No one can save you now!! DIE!!"
Taros swung downâ
Rosvisser closed her eyes, resigning herself to impact.
âŠ
âŠ
Butâ
â
"Who gave you the fucking nerve to scream at my wife?"
A familiar voice cut through the battlefield.
Rosvisserâs eyes snapped open.
And in the reflection of her silver irisesâ
A blinding flash of blue lightning.
