Chapter 671: She Also Enhances The Wearer

"Die, you stupid human garbage!!"

Wow, rude much? Even I’m not killing you just because you’re a Zwerger you know?

I ignored the bullets that were hitting me in the chest and fired my shotgun at the latest Zwerger that showed up, blowing a hole in his chest and sending him flying towards the wall.

Well.. This is why I have no mercy for these guys... Since they are prepared to kill us just because of that, then they should also be prepared to die just because of that.

I turned back to the girls, "How long more?"

"Just the last few boxes, Daddy!" Renata called back, lifting two of those boxes over her head like it weighed nothing.

"Once Renata is done loading, let’s get out of here."

Right then, static sounded from above and a voice reverberated through the cargo bay.

"Who the fuck are you bastards?! What have we done to you?!"

I looked up but I couldn’t find where the camera was so I just shouted out loud, "Fighting on the wrong side, that’s what."

"You bitches!! You’re contracted Mercs aren’t you?! Doing this just for Credits!! Do you have no shame?!!"

"Says the one that’s currently smuggling supplies for Credits. You have no moral high ground to argue on, buddy."

"Oh yeah?! Well I’m giving you one chance to drop everything and leave right now or else you’ll regret it!"

I scoffed, "I’ll take my chances."

"I warned you!!"

The door slid open again and I was expecting even more Zwergers to charge through the doorway, only to see a Power Armour stomping through the doorway.

So that’s why they weren’t just charging here to stop us... They were preparing this thing because they think we won’t be able to deal with it...

"Hahahaha!! Now it’s too late to regret, you bitches!! I’m going to tear all of you from limb to limb!! Then take your ship as compensation for ruining my day! Thanks for the new ship, by the way!!"

I didn’t even have time to think about how I would want to deal with this guy when I felt a tug on my chest which prompted me to look down.

"Daddy! Daddy!! Please let me eat that!!"

Well... I guess that’s settled then.

I waved at the other girls just as they were to come to my aid, prompting them to stop in their tracks once they realised I wanted to handle this on my own.

I nodded, "Go ahead, then. But how do you want to eat it?"

"Daddy just has to get close to it!"

I blinked, "Wait... You want me to go to it? Why..."

I paused and turned back, only to realise that all the other Renatas were still occupied with the boxes that they were moving.

That meant the only Renata that had her hands free right now was the one that was acting as my clothes right now.

Alright then... Guess I’ll just have to charge at the giant Power Armour and get close to it without getting blown up or smacked... How hard can that be, right?

I stored my shotgun on my back and lowered myself into a combat stance while facing off against the Power Armour.

Well... Even though I said Power Armour, it looked more like a mech than an actual Power Armour.

It had an enlarged torso and while the two legs jutting out from the bottom looked heavy, it had no problems moving around.

Its main weapons seemed to be the two large arms that could probably crush a person easily if it managed to catch them.

In all honesty, I think this is more like a power loader than Power Armour.

Maybe this was used in place of cranes to move the boxes in this cargo hold around?

So I guess this thing isn’t technically a Power Armour after all?

Additionally, I’m pretty sure the torso was where the Zwerger pilot would be sitting since there was also no head above that. And despite its pilot’s size, this thing was at least two to three times bigger than my own Power Armour.

Compensating for something much?

Wait, why am I thinking about all of this right now?!

The power loader tried to swing its mechanical fist at me, forcing me to jump back to avoid it as it smashed the ground of where I had been standing.

Despite its size, it certainly was quite dexterous.

"Do you need to get the pilot out in order to eat it?" I asked.

"Hmm? Not at all Daddy~ Unless you want that person in particular alive?"

"No. In that case, I’ll just try and get close to it once I see an opening... Or maybe get Amber to stop it from moving."

"Eh? Why not just stop it yourself, Daddy?"

I leapt back again, "Because I don’t want to get crushed?!"

"Ehehehe~ Daddy doesn’t need to worry! I’ll protect Daddy! That thing won’t be able to crush you!"

Oh, so she’s also able to enhance my strength or something when I’m wearing her?

Well, I trust her so let’s go then.

If anything goes wrong, I’ll have to rely on Mara to patch me up...

I charged towards the power loader just as it tried to swing its arm down on top of me, aiming to flatten me on the ground.

Instead of dodging it, I stood my ground and raised my arms in preparation to block it.

I felt the weight pressing down on me as I stopped the blow and the ground beneath me cracked from the impact.

Although it definitely felt like I had something really heavy pushing down on me, the fact that I was still standing meant that I was right about Renata enhancing my strength.

"Wha... What?!" A surprised voice came from the power loader. "Since when were humans this strong?! This is impossible!!"

Err... Pretty sure that people could get this level of strength through cybernetic mods or even gene mods so I don’t really think this is that surprising?

That’s putting aside the fact that I was neither case but I’m the exception anyway.

I shoved the arms of the power loader back, throwing it off balance as it stumbled back a step.

I took that chance to leap towards the torso and I tried to punch it, just to see how much force I could deliver with Renata enhancing me.

That ended up causing a loud boom and denting the torso of the power loader with the entire machine being sent toppling backwards and crashing onto the ground.

Ouch... That actually kind of hurt... I guess Renata doesn’t exactly enhance my body down to the bone because that punch actually stung a little...

I shook the numbness from my fist before I jumped on top of the power loader, "Is this enough?"

"Yes Daddy!! Thank you for the meal!"

The front of my shirt inflated like a balloon until it reached a massive size before it sank down to envelop the entire power loader.

There was a shout of surprise coming from the power loader’s cockpit but that was quickly silenced the moment Renata wrapped herself around the entire machine.

I watched as the whole thing got pulled inside that balloon thing before it deflated back into my chest again.

Is it just me or... Does it feel like her speed of eating stuff has gotten even faster?

Also, despite an entire power loader being absorbed into my chest, I don’t feel any different...

The clothes don’t feel heavier and there’s no change in shape either so that’s cool~

A happy sigh came from my chest, "Mmmm~ Crunchy~"

Right, I didn’t need to know that...

"Are we ready to go then?" I asked, turning back to look at the rest.

But the moment I turned, I found Amber standing right in front of me with sparkles in her eyes.

"That was so cool, Tera!! Wowwwww!! You tossed that big thing away like it was nothing! Is this your new power?!"

"Eh? Ah... Umm... Sorry to disappoint but this is all thanks to Renata. She enhanced my strength, apparently."

I looked down at my chest again but the only response I got from her was her happy crunching noises like she was eating a bowl of cereal.

I guess she’s too distracted by the new thing she just ate.

Speaking of which... Does she still need to eat a Power Armour since she already ate that big thing? Or does a power loader not count?

Oh well, the Zwerger back at the forge station already started building one anyway so we might as well let him finish it.

Speaking of which, it certainly looks like we cleaned out everything we came here to get so let’s just get back to our ship and blow this ship to pieces~

I’ve still not forgotten that they sent a distress signal so we should get out of here before their backup shows up.
