Chapter 1142: Morning Of Illegal Slaver Hunt

I slowly opened my eyes as I felt myself come awake, finding the morning’s light shining through the gap in between the curtains of the room.

I let out a yawn and tried to stretch, only to find my arms unable to move as Lisa and Delmare were using them as pillows at the moment.

Right... Naturally we had another orgy last night and this time, we didn’t even need to worry about keeping our voices down in fear of disturbing our neighbours.

The reason was that once night fell, couples started heading outside their homes to have public sex and the moans and screams of pleasure coming from the street were louder than the ones happening inside our room.

How do any singles even expect to get any sleep around here? Because even after I was done with my girls, I could still hear moaning coming from the streets.

"Good morning, Mistress," Katsuki’s voice came from the side.

I turned to see my Inugami maid standing there with Carrey, my other slave averting her eyes to avoid looking at our naked bodies.

Katsuki seemed to be back to normal and showed no signs of what happened yesterday between us in the bath.

I saw that as a good thing since she might have accepted it as just a normal occurrence and wasn’t hung up about it. Otherwise, she might still be embarrassed or something.

"Good morning you two... Did I oversleep?"

"Not at all, Mistress. Breakfast will be served soon. Shall we wake the rest as well?"

"Mm... Seeing that I probably can’t get out of here unless they do... Yes, please."

Katsuki then clapped her hands together, "Mistress, there’s a love letter for you from an unknown pers--"

She didn’t even get to finish her words and the girls were already out of bed and crowding around her.

Or more accurately, around the space where Katsuki had been because the moment the girls jumped out of bed, her figure vanished which left only Carrey standing there, the Trasif letting out a cute ’Eeep!’ when she realised she was suddenly surrounded.

"Who?!"

"What does the letter say?!"

"Which bastard?!"

"When did they?!"

The girls then slowly realised that they were duped when they saw the cowering Carrey and turned to see Katsuki standing beside me at the bed acting like she didn’t just trick them into getting out of bed.

I smiled at them, "Good morning, everyone~ Did all of you sleep well yesterday?"

Odeta was the first to recover as she let out a loud, "Wahahaha! You got us good, Katsuki!"

Lisa wasn’t impressed however as she scowled at her, "I hate it when you do that, Katsuki... One of these days, someone’s actually going to send a letter to Aster and we wouldn’t believe you."

Emilia sighed, "I doubt we wouldn’t... There’s no way any of us would be risking that at all."

I don’t know why but all of them seemed very against the idea of me receiving love letters for some reason.

Even back when I was in Aerialla Academy, they would even specifically tell people not to send me any.

Not that I really want to get more love letters of course, I was just curious as to why they would even have this dislike for it.

When I asked them about it, they simply told me that they didn’t like it without elaborating.

I figured that it wasn’t really that important anyway so I didn’t pursue the matter.

Anyway, I had more important things to worry about right now, namely the illegal slaver group that we would be hunting today.

I sat down in front of the dresser, "So... We’ll be heading to where those slavers are right? Should we wait until night time to attack them or should we just head there while it’s still light out? Actually... Can we even reach there within the day?"

Katsuki was the one who answered as she started to brush my hair, "If we were to set out as soon as possible, Mistress, we should be able to reach there early evening today."

"Oh, so we know the exact location of their hideout?"

"I believe we do, Mistress."

Right then, Carrey peeked out from behind the other girls, "Umm... Could I ask something, Mistress?"

"Hmm? What is it, Carrey?"

"Why can’t we just leave this work to the guards instead? We could just report it to the guards and let them handle it, right?"

"I mean... We did accept it as a Request from the Marchioness herself, didn’t we? Getting the guards to handle it would be like we’re abandoning the Request so that’s out of the question."

"Well... The Request is to deal with the illegal slavers, right? If we were to get the guards involved to deal with them, we would also be fulfilling our part as well, Mistress..."

Odeta scoffed, "What? And leave all the fighting to them? Not a chance!"

Emilia also nodded, "That’s right, they definitely have a lot of loot there! There’s no way we should pass up this chance to not only get paid for dealing with them, but also to loot them!"

Carrey hesitated before looking imploringly at me, "Mistress... If you still intend to fight them... May I request to not accompany you?"

Katsuki’s hands stopped moving and I could see her turn back to glare in the direction of Carrey from the mirror.

"Did you perhaps just suggest that our Mistress go into danger herself because you do not wish to protect her?"

She shook her head quickly, "No! No! I... I just believe that... If I do go along... I would be more of a burden instead... So I thought if I just choose not to follow along, I would not be a liability to Mistress."

Well... It’s not like I don’t understand why Carrey has her reservations about this... She probably still fears those illegal slavers and was worried that we might end up in the same position as her as well while she might be forced to be their slave again.

I don’t intend to just charge in either so I think we should be able to handle this group on our own if we were to properly scout them out and prepare accordingly, even if they might have stronger fighters than us which I already doubt.

But like she said, she might still be a burden to the rest of the team due to her trauma... And I would prioritise the safety of my girls over everything else so I would opt for the safest option for my girls.

"Fine then... We’ll be coming back to the village again, right? You can wait for us here though that means you’ll have to stay here for the night. Are you ok with that?"

She bowed her head deeply, "I apologise for being such a burden, Mistress..."

I waved at her, "It’s fine. We’ll manage. Just prepare a feast for us when we come back or something because I’m sure we would be famished after dealing with that group."

"I will do my best, Mistress!"

Carrey straightened herself, "Umm... Should I prepare anything else, Mistress?"

I stood up as Katsuki started to dress me while tilting my head at her, "What do you mean? What are you preparing for?"

"Umm... You know? If you don’t return after a day... Should I go report this to someone or get the Guild to organise a rescue party?"

Ah... I guess for us who don’t plan to fail, we never had to think about it... But for her who has to be left behind, it would certainly be a problem if we don’t return.

I giggled, "It’s fine, Carrey. We will come back on time, don’t worry about it."

"I... I know you are a strong party Mistress... But with one less member... Please be careful."

Awww~ She’s worried about us~ She’s so cute~

Odeta thumped her naked chest proudly, "Don’t worry! Sister Aster has us! No one’s getting through us without a fight!"

Carrey obviously didn’t look convinced but she nodded her head nevertheless before coming to my side to help Katsuki dress me.

Honestly... I didn’t really want to tell her that her non-participation made much difference in this fight anyway.

Ather could still replace her if necessary and even if Ather doesn’t want to remain in the backline, I could just get one of my Shadow Guards to replace her as well.

Although I would just let her hang onto the bow for now in case she needs it while she’s here so she wasn’t completely defenseless.

Who knows? Maybe that group has been following us the entire time and the moment we leave Carrey here, they swoop in and abduct her and when we appear at their base, we find them holding Carrey hostage.

Yeah, just in case, I’m leaving two of my Shadow Guards behind to protect her in case she gets attacked so that they can protect her.
