Chapter 1286: So I Heard About Blessings...

Unfortunately, the guy managed to escape from us and he was supposedly the leader of this slaver group.

Fortunately, we got everyone else and searching through their camp revealed several Trasifs that they had captured and they were at least still safe.

By that, I mean they weren’t brainwashed like the other ones that we found so they were just normal Trasifs that got captured by slavers and were immediately grateful for being freed.

Yeah... I’m just glad that I didn’t have to seduce them or anything to get them to switch sides...

While my girls were breaking up their camp, or in more specific terms, looting their camp, I went over to Minnera since there was something I was interested in.

"Minnera?" I called out.

She looked up from where she was transferring the pile of Creas inside a chest into a bag, "Yes, Aster?"

"I just wanted to ask about the offering thing... Can all Comissars do that?"

"Of course, Aster."

"That’s cool. So basically you’re giving an offering to your goddess in exchange for a power up?"

"In a sense, that is correct. Though if you want the specifics, it’s allowing some of your God’s powers to flow through you. For me, I can increase the power of my creation since my Goddess is Ralaie. Also, you should know that this is not limited to Comissars."

I blinked at her, "You’re telling me that anyone can do that? Even some random person from the street?"

"You need to have a connection with one of the Gods first because they don’t just offer power to anyone. So you would need to get their attention on you for them to accept your offering and grant you a blessing. It’s just that Comissars already come with the benefit of being linked to a God. The downside is that we are servants to them in order to receive this boon while a normal person can still retain their freedom without binding themselves to a God... Most of the time."

I tilted my head, "Most of the time?"

"Well... It’s not easy to get attention from the Gods to begin with... So normal people usually just offer themselves up as servants anyway just to get the blessing."

"That’s interesting... So you are able to just get blessings from the gods if you basically get their attention and offer something for it?"

"That’s correct, Aster."

"Then that means... I can do it too?"

She tilted her head at me, "You already have blessings from the Goddesses, Aster. Didn’t Goddess Hiandoca bless you the last time? In fact, your blessings are permanent too. That’s even rarer than... Well... Anything to be honest."

"Didn’t you also get a blessing from Ralaie?"

"And that was also thanks to you, Aster. If it wasn’t for you, I would have never been able to get that."

I patted her head, "That’s not true, you’re really talented, Minnera! Don’t look down on yourself! You would have managed to do it even without me!"

She actually blushed, "Unn... I prefer the fact that I did it with your help, Aster..."

I then tried to change the topic and tapped on my cheek, "Do you think I would be able to do what you did and get a power up from the goddesses if I offer something to them?"

Minnera’s face turned serious, "I would be more surprised if you couldn’t, Aster. You literally are the favourite of several of them. In fact, I would dare to say that you might not even need to give an offering and just ask them for the blessing to get it..."

Really? Nah... It can’t be that simple, right?

"Should I test it out?" I wondered aloud.

Minnera went straight back to stuffing her bag with the coins, "If it was anyone else asking this, I would have said no as it’ll be rude to ask the Gods for a favour when you don’t need it... But it’s you so it wouldn’t matter."

"You seem to know a lot about this?" I pointed out.

She shrugged, "I did ask a couple of things before choosing to become a Comissar so... I learned."

Interesting...

"Ok... So what should I do to get the blessing? Is there some kind of specific phrase I need to recite?"

"I don’t think it matters as long as your intentions are clear and you address the God that you wish to ask the favour of directly."

Well then... That doesn’t really help much but I guess I can try...

I turned away from her just in case whatever I asked made me shoot out a beam or something and I didn’t want to accidentally hit anyone.

For a moment, I considered who I should ask for this and I eventually settled on Drebann.

Not that I don’t like any of the other goddesses but... I think if I asked Srii, things might die for sure and Hiandoca would probably just make stuff perverted.

I could probably ask Ralaie as well but I’m not as close to her as the other three and the same goes for Immana as well.

So I thought Drebann would be the safest option out of the ones I know and if he found out I was just testing this out, he would most likely not be offended and just act chill with it.

"Err... Drebann, can you--"

I didn’t even get to finish my words before I blinked and found myself in a different place.

Looking around, I realised I was in the middle of a clearing again and Drebann was laying on one of those sun lounger chairs with a pair of sunglasses on her face.

The next thing I noticed was the fact that she was completely topless with only a thong hiding her most intimate parts.

"Hey Aster~ You called?" She asked, lifting up her sunglasses to look at me.

"Err... Yeah... I just learned about being able to give offerings to you guys in exchange for a temporary power up of sorts?"

She blinked at me like she was trying to understand what I just said before she clapped her hands together.

"Oh! That! Yeah, we sometimes do that. Were you looking for that too? Which reminds me... I suppose I should also give you a blessing as well after all that you’ve done for me anyway."

"Eh? I don’t think I did much though? And didn’t you give me that flower? I thought it was just a normal flower until I heard your Head Priestess mention something about it being able to bring someone back from the dead?! Isn’t that pretty big?!"

She waved her hand, "Oh, it’s not as good as it seems. It can only bring someone back to life if they haven’t died for longer than a minute. Anything past that is Srii’s domain. The flower is also limited to eight uses because of the eight petals to begin with so it’s not like it’s some all powerful artefact."

"Still... This is basically an all powerful healing item so this would be really valuable, right?"

"I suppose it might for some people but I grow these literally in my backyard so I don’t really care. Plus you did already give me something in exchange for that to begin with. Anyway... Let’s see... I suppose I can give you this for now. Could you come over here?"

I wasn’t really sure what she wanted but I did as she asked and walked over to her side.

She then snapped her fingers and my clothes suddenly disappeared before she pulled me down onto the sun lounger with her.

I thought she wanted another sexy time until she flipped me over so that my back was against hers and started massaging my chest.

"Err... What are... Ahhh~ What are you doing?" I asked.

She continued to fondle my boobs, "Blessing you of course."

"Is there a need for you to do this to bless me?" I asked, referring to her hands on my boobs.

"Of course not. But you can’t expect me to keep my hands to myself when you’re standing right here, right? Mmm~ Interesting how your World calls these fun bags. I guess I can see why~"

I was going to tell her off until I felt a warmth spread through my chest and I could feel something change in me.

"There we go~ All done~ If you want more, I guess I don’t mind giving it to you but I have a feeling you wouldn’t want too much."

I climbed off of her and looked down at myself, my clothes returning as soon as I got up.

"What did you do?"

"Just a simple blessing, really. You’ll never get lost in a forest unless you intentionally want to and you will be able to find what you wish to find inside of a forest no matter how well hidden it might be."

"Eh? So does that mean..."

"If you wanted to know where the slaver camp was, you would have been able to find it immediately even if you’ve never seen it before."

Ok... I will admit that’s pretty cool.
