When Jason was about to put his arm around Eddieâs shoulder, Stuart stepped in and pulled her away. His face was cold and stern, "Watch where you put your hands."
Jason laughed and took his hand back. Eddie was amused by him and said, "I do have a sister, but...I donât think youâll like her."
"It doesnât matter, introduce her to me, please help a man out who is single."
"Sure," Eddie replied and tittered inside. If she introduced Jason to Victoria, Victoria would probably jump in the air out of happiness. As for Jason, it would be an affront.
The four of them sat at the dining table quickly. Usually, there would only be Eddie and Stuart. Since there were four of them this evening, the dining room seemed much more lively. Carey was thrilled too and cooked a table full of delicious dishes.
As for Eddie, the dining process wasnât pleasant. She found her first impressions of Todd to be correct. She had never met such a dirty-minded person. He even asked about her and Stuartâs sex life!
Eddie was in shock, but Todd continued with a serious face, "If the first experience wasnât good, it might leave a permanent scar on a womanâs heart. Eddie, how was your first time with Stuart?"
She didnât know how to answer; she blushed and kept her head down throughout the whole meal. Hearing Toddâs question, her head was going to reach the plate in front of her. If Stuart didnât help her, she wouldnât be able to finish the meal. Dinner was a disaster for Eddie; she quickly took a few bites and made an excuse to leave.
Watching Eddie flee, Todd couldnât help but laugh, "Stuart, your wife is so interesting."
Of course, Todd was only joking around. He was merely curious about the woman who could make Stuart love her so much.
Stuart sat at the table with his arms folded and had a blank expression on his face, "If you keep talking nonsense, Iâm going to throw you out."
Todd grinned cheekily, "I was only joking, but Iâm right about one thing. If the first experience between two people wasnât good, it might leave an indelible scar on the womanâs heart. So how was the first time between you two?"
Stuartâs expression was carefully guarded and inscrutable, but he couldnât help recalling his first time with Eddie. It wasnât a good experience. They were both drugged; during the whole process, they had no idea of each otherâs identity. He also couldnât control himself, which caused Eddie to pass out at the end.
Even their second experience was terrible. Stuart was being controlled by anger. He forced himself on Eddie, which directly caused her to run away from him. It was only recently that she had become not as resistant, but also not very keen. Was it really like what Todd had said? Had he left a scar on her heart?
As Stuart self-examined his experiences, he looked up and saw his two friends gazing at him meaningfully. Stuart coughed to cover up his uneasiness. Then he put down the fork and frigidly said, "It looks like you two are full, you can leave now."
He was driving them away! Jason sighed in annoyance, "A married man is like another species. I missed the days when we were drinking buddies!"
The three of them would never be able to drink together like they used to anymore.
"Internet dating," Todd expressed it more precisely.
"Help yourselves," Stuart left, leaving them with two words. Being left alone, the two of them felt bored and went together. Stuart could be unpredictable, but Mr. Sampson still had to abide by the etiquette, so he walked the two masters to the door.
In the car, Todd and Jason looked at each other.
"Itâs too early, are we going home now?"
"Letâs go to the bars?"
"Okay, letâs go and have a drink," Todd nodded in agreement.
The two of them drove straight to the biggest bar in the city, the Night Charm Bar. The bar had a show on, but Todd and Jason were not interested. So they picked a seat far away from the stage and started drinking by themselves. Jason drank up his Vodka and said, "Stuart has changed so much after getting married. I didnât expect it at all."
Todd had seen Eddie before, but it was Jasonâs first time. He was seeing Stuart like this mustâve had a significant impact on him.
"Are men all like this after getting married? When are you going to get married? I canât wait to be at your wedding."
Todd laughed, "Married? Impossible, Iâm not like Stuart, Iâm not setting up my own cage. Look at him, and he canât even drink with us now."
Todd lit up a cigarette and started to smoke it, he released a sigh together with the smoke and said, "Sometimes, I envy you. You have no burden on your heart."
Jason raised his eyebrows, "Burden? You are still not thinking about..." He automatically muted the last word, and he didnât want to touch Toddâs sore spot.
"Bullshit, I forgot about her long ago!"
"Did I say who it was? Why do you get so agitated whenever someone mentions her?"
Although Jason said nothing, Todd still exposed himself. Todd stopped talking and took a mouthful of liquor. At this point in time, Toddâs phone rang. His relaxed expression changed immediately after listening to the person on the end of the phone.
"Wait for me, and Iâll be right there."
Before Jason had a chance to ask what happened, Todd said eagerly, "bro, I have to go, Iâll buy you a drink next time."
He stood up and went straight out the door. Jason sat there motionless when he realized what had happened. Then he said, "None of them have a code of brotherhood."
Jason drank two cups of Vodka by himself and felt a little dizzy. Drinking alone was boring, so he got up and was about to leave. Suddenly, a petite woman walked towards him unsteadily. She saw Jason, and a smile appeared on her drunken face. She could hardly speak because of her drunken state, but she managed to slur her words, "Youâre good looking, better than the one before. I want to spend the night with you, how much is it?"
