Hicks was either too inexperienced or too naĂŻve. After she heard what Boyle said, her eyes lit up with surprise, "Really? Youâll let us go if we drink it?"
Boyle casually smiled, "Of course, if you drink it."
"Donât believe him. A man like him will never keep his promise!"
Eddie looked at Boyle with caution and grabbed Hicksâ arm to stop her. Being found out by Eddie, Boyle had no shame on his face and smiled, "Youâre smart! Only idiots keep their promises. Since you two are already here, I never had any intentions in letting you go."
His shameless attitude made Eddie clench her jaw to suppress her anger, and then she cursed at him, "You bastard!"
"Actually, I have a room already booked upstairs. At first, I thought it was only Hicks. I didnât expect her to bring me another dessert. Oh, it is even better now! Only if you two serve me well tonight, I will make sure you get everything you want. A wise man submits to fate, and I believe you do understand whatâs best for you."
Hicks shivered in fear and said, "Mr. Boyle, I may not be suitable for the film you invested in..."
Hearing Hicksâ refusal, Boyleâs face changed to a look of disappointment. His eyes instantly turned cold, "Donât be so ungrateful. Getting a role in this film is an honor. If I could lift you off the ground, I would smash you down. Even if you got the Dion endorsement, youâre still a nobody. If you disappeared, no one would care!"
Hicksâ face turned pale out of freight. Although what Boyle said was harsh, every word of it pinched her sore point. Just like he said, she had no choice. Since she had no background, anyone in showbiz could step on her. No one would pity her.
Was she unaware of what would happen today? She knew, but she thought she could get away without causing any harm. Bleakness rose in her heart, and to her surprise, she thought of Stuart. The man she fell for at first sight. Perhaps, she could never be good enough for him.
Hicks felt wretched, accepting her fate. However, Eddie was innocent, and she came here to help her. There was no way Hicks could let her suffer, "Mr. Boyle, I will do as Iâm told, but this has nothing to do with Eddie."
Hicksâ face was pale, and her voice was shaky, but she wanted to protect Eddie.
"Who said so?"
Looking at Hicksâ sad eyes, Boyle laughed long and loud, "None of you will get away tonight! Also, just know that Iâm going to sleep with her first!"
Hearing his words, Hicks widened her eyes in surprise. She was horrified as she had involved an innocent person in this. She looked at Eddie with a guilty look on her face and lowered her head.
"Tyron Boyle! If you dare to touch me, you will regret it!"
Eddie squeezed her words out of her clenched teeth. Her brain spun quickly, trying to figure out a way to get out. She wanted to say Stuartâs name, but their relationship wasnât public yet, she couldnât take the risk.
Boyle did not take Eddieâs threat seriously at all and thought her words were fearless, "So you want to take revenge on me? It doesnât matter, and Iâll make you feel as if youâre on ecstasy tonight and then film you in bed. Then, letâs see if youâll beg me or threaten me!"
Eddie had never seen such a shameless person. Boyle was starting to get impatient. He couldnât do anything to them since there were still people in the room, but he could no longer hold back his desire.
He waved his hand and said to his bodyguards, "Bring Miss Day upstairs first, then invite Miss Lara to have a taste of our best whiskey!"
Boyle had seen all sorts of people in his life. Therefore, he could tell at first sight that Hicks had a timid and weak-willed nature. However, Eddie was the genuinely troublesome one.
If she doesnât get drugged, tonight wouldnât be peaceful. Receiving Boyleâs orders, the bodyguards walked over to drag Hicks away. She looked at them in fright and hid behind Eddieâs back.
Eddie gave them a furious stare and said, "Donât touch her; she can walk on her own."
She then quickly turned her head towards Hicks and told her a series of numbers in a low voice, "My bag was thrown away by them, call this number when you get a chance, heâs the only one who can save us!"
Hicksâ tears streamed down her cheeks, but she still firmly nodded, "Okay, donât worry. Iâll call this number immediately when I get a chance."
She felt extremely sorry for Eddie, but at a time like this, an apology was useless. The only thing she could do was to look for a chance to save them both. Even though the opportunity was minimal, Hicks had to try.
Hicks was taken out of the bar and brought to the hotel upstairs. Since she looked weak, the bodyguards didnât do much to her. The only action they took was pushing her into the hotel room when she hesitated in front of the door.
When Hicks walked into the room, she sat on the sofa rigidly with the two bodyguards watching her. Feeling a little uncomfortable, Hicks timidly opened her mouth to speak, "I... I need to use the ladyâs room."
The bodyguards looked at each other; one of them stood up and walked over to her, "Letâs go."
"Is he coming to the bathroom with her?" Hicks was all flustered inside.
Instead, she looked at the bodyguard with dissatisfaction and confusion, "Youâre not going with me, are you? After tonight, Iâll be your bossâs woman, and this is how you treat me?"
Hearing her words, the bodyguard who was pompous hesitated. Sheâs right, and sheâll be the bossâs woman after tonight. If they were to offend her now, she might take revenge on them later.
The bodyguard weighed his scale inside and out. He took a step back and pretended to threaten Hicks, "Donât play any tricks on me, or Iâll kill you!"
Hicks went straight into the bathroom calmly as if she hadnât heard anything. Then when the door closed, the panic and fluster on her face could no longer be kept hidden. The bathroom and living room were connected; if she made a call, the men outside would definitely hear. Therefore, she could only send a message.
The bodyguards only took away her bag and didnât frisk her. Because of their negligence, she still had her phone on her. Hicks took out the phone and quickly typed a message, "Eddieâs in danger at the Hallucin Bar!"
