They rode the Roller Coaster for fifteen minutes.
"Time to go back," Stuart held onto the railing and said calmly.
"Finished? It is quite interesting. Look, drop tower," Edie looked at Stuartâs pale face and said.
"Donât you have a fear of height? All these devices are risky. They still require improvement. I think we can relax in other ways."
He advises seriously. But his pale face looked so funny. He doesnât want to retake other rounds of rides because he felt dizzy.
Edie blinked her eyes, "Darling, are you afraid of these devices? You look pale. Oh, now I know my husband has a fear of height."
"Absolutely not," he said, holding onto the railing tightly.
He still felt dizzy now.
Damn. Who the hell invented these rides. He felt he almost stifled when he dived down from the highest point. It made his world turn upside down.
But he couldnât tell her. It was too shameful for him.
"Then, play with me. I want to play pirate ship, drip tower, and Pendulum clock...."
Edie held his arms. She doesnât want to let go of him.
"Ivan, do I have anything to do?" Stuart tried to calm down.
Before Ivan answered, Edie asked, "Ivan, do you want to join us?"
"Er..,well, Mr. Yates, you have nothing to do today." under great pressure, Ivan forces a smile. Stuart threw a murderous look to Ivan. He wanted to yell at him for not saving him this time.
Then, Edie took Stuart to experience the Drop tower,
When she screamed out excitedly, Stuart would hold her hands tightly and told her, "I am here, donât worry."
When Edie looked at her, she would see Stuart closed his eyes tightly and controlled himself not to scream out. But his face looked paler. She wanted to laugh at him because she knew her husband felt nervous.
Finally, Edie didnât have the heart to keep seeing this. She told Stuart to wait for her asides. She could play alone.
When she reached the highest point, her heart beating would make her forget the pain today. She really needed this.
But Stuart didnât agree. Even though he was pale and weak at present, he insisted that Edie shouldnât play alone.
"Baby, you know you should take a rest. You look weak. I am so worried about you. I see you are afraid of heights. You stay here, and I will continue playing alone."
"Do you know what weak means for a man? It is insulting." Stuart said.
"It is not sex. You look pale. Wait here, and I can play alone."
Then, she turned around, running to the drop tower.
Stuart wanted to chase her. But his phone rang suddenly.
He frowned, answering it.
"Hello"
"Itâs me."
"Whatâs up?"
"Iâve talked with the Old Herring. Vicky Herring was punished severely. Her passport was also seized. She could never go back to the mainland," Clyde Jackson reported the result shortly, "are you satisfied with the solution? Mr. Yates."
"As long as you did a good job, I will be satisfied. You are Edieâs brother. Besides, call me brother in law."
Stuart sounded flat. But it also provoked Clyde.
"Brother..in law? How come? Why should I call you, brother-in-law?"
"Yes," Stuart ignored Clydeâs questioning, "Iâve informed you before. We are getting married this month. You would come, wonât you?"
"Of course," Clyde said, "Though I donât like her taste of man, sheâs my sister after all. But...."
Clyde hesitated. He doesnât want Edie to be with Stuart.
Stuart realized something immediately, "Her family?"
Clyde hated Stuartâs accuracy. But he had to acknowledge, "yes, her family. I didnât dare to tell them Iâve already found her. They all cursed me even though I just mentioned a little bit. I donât think it is the right time to tell her the truth. I would attend her wedding, on behalf of the family."
Stuart fixed his eyes on Edie. She was laughing happily on the roller coaster.
"Never mind. Edie doesnât need her family. I would give everything her family should have given her. She is precious to me. Whatever might happen, sheâll be my wife." Edieâs real family had thrown her away.
Deep in his beautiful black eyes was his deep love for her.
When Edie got off the coaster and walked to Stuart, he hung down.
"Who is it?"
"Companyâs business," Stuart wiped the sweat on her forehead, "feel tired?"
"Not at all. I want to stay here for the whole day."
She ran towards the next machine. She acted like a fragile child who was deprived of love and attention.
Stuart held her small hands.
Edie turned around, seeing his eyes.
She felt quite secure at the moment. With Stuart around her, she feels relieved to face lifeâs struggle.
Then, Stuart really spent the whole day playing with Edie. In the amusement, Edie looked like a little child. She finally got rid of those trifles.
They didnât think about going back until Brittany called them to ask them when to return back home.
Stuart asked Edie
He knew Edie needed some courage to face Gregâs.
Edie knew his consideration, "We should go back after all. Besides, thatâs also my home. I am the host, Mrs. Yates. I am not afraid of anybody."
She stuck out her chest and said proudly.
Stuart touched her head gently and kissed on her forehead, "okay. Letâs go home now. I could make dinner for you. Do you want some ice-cream?"
"Could you?"
"I could do everything. I can give you everything you need,"
Hearing this, Edie held his arms joyfully.
It was the best thing to have a husband capable of cooking. She didnât need to worry about starving anymore.
They got in the car. After ten minutes or so, they arrived at home.
After entering into the house, Edie immediately felt the scary atmosphere,
Expect the old Greg with two kids; nobody was in the living room.
"Grandpa, whereâs everybody?"
The old Greg fixed his sharp eyes on the couple.
The couple suddenly feels great pressure penetrating in the air.
