The old Gregâ s voice was loud in the corridor.
Everyone was afraid of the old Gregâs arrival.
Mrs. Greg rushed to Victoria immediately. She hit and bit those two guards, but the guards didnât let Victoria go.
Luckily, after hearing the old Gregâs voice, the guard stopped."
"Mom," Victoria screamed out, "Help me, please, help me. They donât want to let me go,"
"Let go of my daughter. What has she done? Why could you do this to her?" Mrs. Greg sobbed. She doesnât know whatâs going on.
The old Greg pushed his wheelchair and got in front of Stuart. He realized Victoria must do something wrong that pissed Stuart off. Maybe it was Victoria that made Eddie got injured.
But he was not sure about it, "what has she done?"
Stuart didnât answer him. He just made a gesture to Ivan.
Ivan then showed the old Greg the monitoring video from the coffee houseâs surveillance system.
When the old Greg saw Victoria stabbing a knife to Eddieâs belly, his eyes shrunk. He couldnât believe that Victory would dare to harm Edie.
"How..how dare you. Sheâs your sister. How can you do this to her?" The old Greg raged. He wanted to slap Victoria immediately. Give her a severe punishment of what sheâd done.
Victoria reconciled, "sheâs nothing but a bastard of another woman. Grandpa, your granddaughter, is me instead of her. Why do you always prefer her? I am the one that engaged with Stuart. I am the one that should feel wronged. This is unfair. She deserves this. She should go to hell immediately." Victoria shed tears to seek pity from the old Greg.
Victoriaâs been too extreme. Mrs. Greg stole a glimpse of Stuart.
The man looked quite calm. But Mrs. Greg could feel the coldness around him. She knew Stuart wouldnât dare to take Victoria as his wife.
He didnât throw an eye on Victoria, "go on!"
The guard prepared to cut the tongue off.
Mrs. Greg was frightened. She couldnât believe that the old Greg will be going to say it.
She grabbed the guardâs hands, "You such a stupid girl. Stop saying nonsense. Try to implore your grandpa and Mr. Yates for forgiveness."
"No, my grandpa never loved me. He only cares about Eddie. Just cut my tongue off. I donât care. They just only love this outsider,"
"Bullshit. Hurry up. After all, you are your grandpaâs granddaughter."
Yes, Victoria was his granddaughter.
He saw her growing up, but he canât allow her to do something bad against Edie.
The old Greg closed his eyes desperately. When he opened his eyes again, he was determined.
"Stanley, slap her, till she woke up. Donât stop if I donât tell you."
"Dad," Gregâs couple didnât want to do this.
After all, Victoria was their daughter.
"Eddieâs already in the surgery room. Do you want Victoria in there too?"
"She was the one that should be in there," the old Greg yelled at them, "are you questioning me?"
Though the old Greg was already sixty years old, he was still the most powerful man in the family.
Stanley didnât dare to say no.
He walked to Victoria.
Mrs. Greg grabbed his hands immediately. Her voice was trembling, "do you really want to slap our daughter? Dadâs old. He was muddled. But you are sober. Victoriaâs our lovely daughter. We never beat her once."
"Daddy... are you really going to slap on my face?" Victoria cried. Her eyes were already swollen, like walnuts."
Seeing this, the old Greg blushed with anger.
If he didnât punish Victoria first, it would be impossible for Victoria to escape from Stuartâs punishment.
But these young men havenât realized this at all.
"If you couldnât, I would do it."
A voice arose.
Clyde arrived.
Except for Victoria, none of the Gregâs knew him. Victoria knew how popular he was in the entertainment circle. But she didnât know anything about his family. She thought he was just one of Eddieâs friends.
Clyde looked angry. Though heâs smiling, his eyes were cold.
As if he was preparing to kill someone.
His eyes swept across Gregâs and fell on Stuart. He was greeting him.
He just arrived to attend their wedding. But when he arrived, he was informed that Eddie was badly injured.
He already tried the best to control himself, not to beat Gregâs up. He was really not in the mood, maintaining the relationship.
Stanley didnât know him. But he was frightened by his eyes. He tried to calm himself down,
"Who the hell are you? This is none of your business."
Clyde sneered, "Really? None of my business? But you hurt Laraâs."
When Stanley heard "the Laraâs," he was stricken.
Was the man in front of him...
Clyde didnât want to explain to Stanley, "Do you want me to do this?"
Stanley seemed frightened by his words. He couldnât help herself stepping back.
The old Greg saw this, "Hurry up. Or I would do it."
Stanley knew the old Greg would do it, to apologize Stuart.
But could his fragile daughter handle this?
After hesitating for quite a while, he finally made a decision, "Vic, it might hurt. Be a strong girl."
"No ...dad. "Victoria kept shaking her head.
She couldnât understand why everybody stood aside.
Stanley raised his hands and slapped on his daughterâs face heavily.
Because the old Greg didnât ask him to stop, Stanley kept slapping her and ignoring his wife and daughterâs crying.
Clyde was amused by the picture as if he was listening to a joke.
Stuart didnât throw an eye on them. He just fixed his eyes on the old Greg.
"Grandpa. This wouldnât make me forgive her. I wouldnât let her go so easily. Donât fool me."
Of course, the old Greg knew this.
It was time to bargain with him.
The old Greg took a deep breath. His eyes were still clear.
"I know you wouldnât be fooled. I would pay for my granddaughterâs mistake. Sheâs still so young. Allow me to bear the consequence for her."
