She tumbled to Stuart and looked at his handsome face. Though she looked pale, that didnāt influence his elegant quality. Sheās been staying with him for such a long time. He never fell in love with her. But she was fooled completely.

Hicks burst into tears. She lifted her trembling hands to try to approach him. But he avoided it.

Then, he turned around and walked to the door.
Hicksās voice was trembling, "Actually... I donāt know the man behind. Iāve only contacted Mr. Sunny. His influence didnāt cover A. It was not Nobleās men that kidnapped Aaron. I heard Mr. Sunny calling him before. He also needed to follow othersā arrangements. So I guessed there must be someone behind him. But thatās just my guessing. I am not sure. Though I know you donāt love me, I couldnāt see you being trapped in danger."
"Thank you."
Stuart threw an eye on her and left.
"Wait," As Stuart was about to walk out of the door, Hicks shouted out. She looked so fragile at the moment, "Could...could you tell me? Why Edie? Why do you love her? Why other girls? Why was she the only girl that could touch you."
Stuart froze.
"No reason. I love her."
Then, he left without any hesitation.
Actually, he didnāt know why, either.
He couldnāt even tell the exact time when he fell in love with her. Perhaps when they had sex for the first time, or when they moved together.
All in all, he fell in love with her for no reason.
He was a lonely man. He didnāt think he was afraid of being lonely. When staying with Marina before, he felt so comfortable. She was a gentle girl. She seldom asked for anything from him. She had her own life.
They lived in the same house without bothering each other. He thought it was love. He thought it was love that could last for life.
But when he met with Edie, he realized he never took Marina as his girlfriend. Stuart regarded her as his friend and soul mate. He appreciated her for her saving him.
It was Edie that gave him the feeling of love.
Edie would ask him to go to the supermarket with her. She would make food when feeling hungry and ask him whether he was also starving when he stayed up to work. She would wait for him, even though she was exhausted.

"Visit someone."
Aaron saw Edieās turning around. He walked out and walked towards her.
Edie stood up. She felt the man in front of her had changed. She could no longer see his naughty smile. The black suit made him look so serious. That makes Edie feel uncomfortable."
"You....you look much slimmer..." Edie said in a low voice, "Bad appetite? Are you too tired of working? Too much work to do?"
"Donāt worry. I am fine. That wonāt kill me."
For Aaron, nothing is dangerous if it didnāt threaten his life.
Edie didnāt like what he said.
She frowned, "Take care of yourself. If you donāt care about your health, no one would care. David is here. Why donāt you let him check you?"
"Edie, stop worrying about me, please," Aaron begged Edie in a painful and desperate voice.
"What??" Edie froze.
Aaron answered in a heavy voice, "your concern is my sin."
Every time Aaron looked at Edieās face, he would recall what his mother said several days ago. It almost became a curse on him.
Edie stood there blankly, staring at Aaron. Finally, she stepped back, lowered eyes, and took a deep breath, "I am sorry. I would fade out of your life. Thank you for what youāve done for me these days."
Then, she turned around and left. Aaron stood there. He didnāt dare to turn around. He was afraid of falling into the hell of sin. He was afraid that he would do something unforgivable.
As the sound of Edieās step faded down, they were farther and farther away from each other.
