Who was the man? He called Arther, "little brother." Was he Artherâs brother?"
"Is he related to Arther?"
"I...I donât know..." Cecil got too nervous to talk smoothly.
Everyone saluted to him with the eyes when he passed through. When he walked into the castle, maids walked to him to take his coat, sunglasses, and belt. They called this man, respectfully, "Mr. Norman."
Finally, the man only wore a black T-shirt and pants. He took off the military boots and wore a pair of slippers.
All of a sudden, he became less serious. At the moment, he looked like a relaxing man idling at home.
He never turned around. Edie couldnât see his face.
Then the man went upstairs directly. Someone led Edie and Cecil to the living room. Soon, Arther came to the living room.
"What are you here?"
"Mr....Mr.Norman allows us to get in... he took the helicopter. I saw everyone here saluting to him. Who is he?" Cecil asked excitingly.
"My brother?" Arther frowned and said, "Donât hang around here. I would come back soon."
Then, he ran away.
Arther went to the backyard directly. There was a single building on the opposite of the flat. Norman spent lots of time there. There were lots of military secrets inside the building. Only Arther was allowed.
"Where is my brother?"
"Mr.Norman was taking a shower. Please wait for a moment," the soldier guarding the building answered.
After more than ten minutes, Norman walked out in casual home wear.
"Come on. In my study," Norman said in a slight voice without even throwing an eye on Arther. Then he walked towards his study.
Then he sat on the leather sofa, parting the gun in his hand into accessories.
"Did grandpa punish you?" he asked Arther.
Arther nodded, "Yes. Why do you come back all of a sudden?"
"Iâve heard that youâve been naughty these days. Our grandpa was so disappointed. You are the heir of our family. You couldnât be too childish."
The man raised his eyes and smiled, showing his white teeth. Though he looked so amiable in front of Arther, his smile looked so cold.
Hearing these words, Arther frowned, "What have you done?"
"Nothing. My dear Arther, take care of yourself now. I would handle everything else now."
"Donât hurt anyone."
Arther said in a cold voice. Though he was still so young, he looked scary at the moment.
Hearing his warning, Norman raised his eyebrow. His eyes were smiling, "Arther, are you threatening me?"
"I have my own plan. If you dare to interrupt, take all responsibility if you ruin everything." Arther stared at his eyes.
Normanâs face changed.
All of a sudden, the study fell into dead silence.
"Norman, take care of yourself."
Then, Arther turned around and left.
"Take care of myself.... quite interesting boy. Already started threatening me. Really.....really interested. So, he is more than a dog. He might be a wolf. My brother became more and more interesting. When could you fight against our enemy with me?"
Though Norman was threatened, he didnât get angry. Instead, he smiled.
At the moment, his man knocked on the door. "Sir, all data were sorted out. Those men youâve sent out were all killed. Weâve already found their corpse..."
***
Arther walked to the living room, hearing Cecilâs ridiculous requests.
"Do you have any snacks in the house? Candy or something else?"
"Maybe....in an aid kit."
"Give me candy!" Cecil said excitedly.
Arther couldnât help himself showing a hopeless expression on the face.
"You get a box of snacks for him. Potato chips, jelly, bread, beef jerky, and so on..."Arther said.
Hearing his words, Cecil got much happier. He ran to Arther and smiled, "You are my best Master. Howâs your wound? How do you feel now? Could you show me? I want to check those wounds."
"I find," Arther stopped him and sat on the sofa. He turned towards Edie and asked her, "why do you come back so suddenly?"
"I came with his daddy to take Cecil for several days," Edie smiled and answered.
"Master, could you come to my house. My dad was not in the house these days."
"No. I have something else to do. I donât have time to go there. Maybe, in the future." Arther said.
"Well....all right."
Cecil looked so disappointed. Finally, he sighed as if the whole world abandoned him.
He didnât stay for a long time in Artherâs castle. After he got a box of snacks, Arther asked him to leave because he still had a lot of work.
Arther sent him to the door and watched them get in the car.
Cecil looked depressed.
Edie didnât expect that Arther was so important for Cecil, much more important than his snacks.
"Cheer up. We can come later. Come on."
"I forgot to pack those candy," Cecil said desperately.
"..."
Edie realized she shouldnât expect too much from Cecil.
After they returned back to the town, Stuart called Edie. He sounded tired. Edie was worried about him.
They talked to each other on the phone for a while and asked her to take care of herself. Then he hangs up.
Though she eagerly wanted Stuart to stay with her, she knew itâd better for her not to bother him while he was working.
She didnât contact the vice president and Brittany because she planned to visit them after Stuart came back.
It was comfortable for her to take care of Cecil alone.
After dinner, she took Cecil to go shopping or take a walk along the road.
Cecil became fatter and fatter. His clothes could no longer fit him. On the third day after she arrived here, Edie held Cecilâs fat hand and took him to the supermarket.
It was really hard to find suitable clothes for Cecil.
"Cecil, youâve been so fat," Edie said seriously.
Cecil padded on his belly and said seriously, "This is not fat. This is my dadâs money."
Hearing his answer, Edie burst into laughter.
Cecil needed to go to the loo. Edie was waiting for him outside. When seeing Cecil walking out and walking towards him, she thought he looked exactly like a round meatball moving to her.
"Iâve made a decision. I should starve you." Edie said seriously.
Cecil shook his head immediately, "No, all I care is this. Donât do this to me. Edie, I can give up clothes. Letâs buy some food, okay? We can visit Arther again."
When talking about food, Cecil always looked energetic.
"No. You should start losing some weight from now on. Keep a diet. Youâve eaten a lot," she held his hand and continued to find clothes for him.
"No. No. Please."
Cecil screamed out so loudly that everyone in the supermarket heard him.
