Chapter 870: He Is Getting Married

At the airport...

When Jason followed Grace to the ticket gate, he turned around again. Though he was sure that Scarlet would not show up, he couldn’t help but looking forward to her arrival.

He was expecting her crazily.

But he didn’t see her. He was bound to be disappointed.

Seeing this, Jason frowned deeply. She said in a cold voice, "Jason, forget her. She would leave you sooner or later."

"I know. She’s told me before. If she could not get pregnant in one year, she would break up with me. Now she just did this in advance."

"Then why do you still care about her?"

"Because she owes me eleven months."

Jason said in a peaceful voice, raising a bitter smile at the corner of his mouth.

Eleven months.

How could she make up for him?

"Let’s go. She would come here." Grace dragged him towards the ticket gate.

Jason turned around slowly and stepped into the gate.

Both lives returned to peace. When Jason returned to Canada, it was reported that he was about to get married to the daughter of Morton’s, Kris Morton. They’ve sent the invitation card out.

Stuart also received the card. Certainly, he would attend Jason’s wedding. It was such a significant thing that he couldn’t keep it from Edie.

After thinking for a while, Stuart decided to tell Edie.

"Edie, I want to tell you something," he walked to the balcony.

Edie was enjoying the sunlight while reading books about pregnancy. Hearing his voice, she raised her eyes, "What’s up?"

"Jason is getting married."

"What?"

"Why so soon?" Edie was shocked. Just two days. Everything changed.

"Where is Jason? I need to talk to him now. It was his mother. I couldn’t let her wrong, Scarlet. Scarlet was poor and miserable enough."

"Jason had returned back to Canada yesterday. I’ve received his wedding invitation card. The wedding would be held in a week."

"Why? How? I need to talk to Scarlet. What the hell is going on?"

"Let’s go together."

When they saw Scarlet in the building of Hawk Media, Scarlet looked so peaceful. She told Edie and Stuart that she had also been invited to the wedding.

"So... would you attend the wedding?"

"Of course. Since they’ve invited me, I would certainly attend the wedding," Scarlet pressed her pale lips and answered word by word.

"It is Jason that sent me the invitation card. I think he might want me to attend his wedding."

Edie dragged Stuart’s hands and turned around, leaving. Unexpectedly, they saw Joanna at the door. But Edie was not in the mood to talk to her. She passed through her directly.

Joanna stood there, staring at the couple.

"Miss Yates?" Joanna greeted, "Scarlet, why are they here?"

"Nothing important. Why are you here?"

"I plan to travel with Donald. We might not be able to see each other for several days. I want to know when you would hold a wedding. I’ve prepared a present for you." Joanna said in a joyful voice.

Wedding...

This word sounded really funny for her at the moment.

"I haven’t decided. When I make the decision, I would definitely call you. When would you set up?"

"Soon. We ordered the ticket—the day after tomorrow. We want to go to Bali. It is our first stop."

"Great. I would see you off."

Scarlet couldn’t understand why Donald still wanted to travel with Joanna after she canceled the wedding. But he criticized several days ago. Now she didn’t know how to ask him this.

Therefore, she didn’t ask him.

When Donald left with his wife and child, Scarlet’s hand almost recovered. But that scary scar remained in her palm.

When Scarlet saw them off at the airport, Donald wanted to tell her something.

But after thinking for a while, he just said, "Take care of yourself."

"I will. Thank you. Have fun," after they left, Scarlet felt so lonely.

She felt her heart was hollow right now.

Airplanes landed and took off. Lots of people came and went.

Though lots of people passed through her, she felt so lonely.

Jason had left her. Edie was also angry with her. Even Donald and Joanna left her alone.

She had no one to stay with her now.

So helpless. So lonely. Suddenly she couldn’t understand why she came into this world.

After she went back home, Ashley came to her. But now Scarlet was so tired that she didn’t want to quarrel with her. She opened the door, letting her in.

After Ashley entered the room, she looked around. She was looking for Jason. But she didn’t see him. She was a little confused, "Where....where’s Mr. William?"

"Why are you looking for him here? This is my house."

Hearing her words, Ashley felt embarrassed.

Actually, she’s been to Modern Technology before. But the receptionist didn’t even throw an eye on her. Therefore, she had no choice but came to Scarlet’s house. She knew she could get nothing from Scarlet anymore. Therefore, she decided to turn towards her boyfriend, Jason.

Jason was not here. It was a perfect chance for her to persuade Scarlet to get married to him. After she got married to him, she would be able to get money from that rich man easily. That son of bitch would not dare to threaten his wife’s mother.

Thinking about this, Ashley sat down. When she wanted to drag Scarlet to her, Scarlet escaped. At the moment, Scarlet looked so indifferent and cold. Seeing the expression on Scarlet’s face, Ashley suddenly didn’t know how to continue.

She forced a strange smile and said, "I just want to thank you. I’ve handled everything for your brother. I really appreciate what you’ve done for me."

"Okay. You can leave now."

"Scarlet. How can you say this to me? I am your mother. I come here because I am concerned about you. I want to know when you would get married to your boyfriend? He looks quite good. Don’t miss him. Get married to him and settle down quickly. Okay?"

"Get married?" Scarlet raised a slight smile at the corner of her mouth. The smile was cold and scary. Ashley was frightened.

"Yes. Get married. What? Any problem?"

"I am afraid I could not get married to him now."

"Why? Does he dump you? What happened? Try to solve it, dear." Ashley immediately panicked.
