Before she could finish, Ji Taixian pointed behind her with a horrified look on his face. "Ms. Ning, something just shot past over there."
Xie Ning turned to look with a grave expression, but the row of production lines appeared completely normal.
"It came from the workshop back there," Wang Zongxuan said, frowning.
"What was it? A person or a zombie?"
Wang Zongxuan hadnât gotten a clear look either. After a few seconds of thought, he said, "It seemed to be a human figureâquite thin, but incredibly fast."

"Watch out!" Song Youâai suddenly cried out, pulling her nephew to her side.
Wang Zongxuan fired a shot, and a fat, grimy rat fell to the ground with a SQUEAK, its belly turned up as blood gushed out.
Song Youâai nervously grabbed her nephewâs arm, and both of them took a step back.
"Oh my god, donât tell me this rat is mutated?" Xiao Huang Mao shuddered. "Look, its eyes are bright red. Thatâs so creepy."
A bad feeling washed over Xie Ning.

At her command, everyone immediately turned and followed her back toward the warehouse.
But it was too late.
A furry paw slammed down on the door activation button with a WHACK.
The metal door that had been raised earlier came crashing straight down with a WHOOSH.
"SQUEAK SQUEAK." Several strange, dark figures darted out from the small production department office.
Xie Ningâs gaze turned cold. As she channeled her Gold Ability, a row of metal spikes erupted from the ground before her.
As luck would have it, several of the dark figures landed right on the metal spikes. They shrieked wildly but kept running forward.
The sound of tearing flesh, a series of SQUELCHES, made everyoneâs scalp tingle.
Strips of flesh were left hanging on the metal spikes, but the creatures seemed to feel nothing, continuing to dart toward them.
However, several had been impaled through the abdomen by the spikes. The more they struggled, the faster they bled out, and soon they lacked the strength to crawl any farther.
Only one relentlessly struggled free from the spikes, dragging its bodyâDRIP, DRIP, DRIP went the bloodâas it charged them.
A long black blade suddenly appeared in Xie Ningâs hand, and she brought it down on the head of the pouncing creature.
The blade gashed the creatureâs skull before Wang Zongxuan finished it with a shot from behind, sending it tumbling heavily to the ground.
Song Youâai struck with a decisive blow.
"What kind of monster is that?" Xiao Huang Mao shuddered, pointing at the freak on the ground.
"It was probably a factory worker," Song Youâai said, glancing over with lingering fear.
The worker had several rat-like whiskers growing on its face, and its palms were covered in a layer of long fur. Its appearance was far from human.
A sharp SCREECH echoed from the small office, followed immediately by responding SQUEAKS from all corners of the factory floor.
"Careful! Thereâs a First-tier Zombie causing trouble here. Everyone, get back!"
Xie Ningâs pupils constricted. She stared at the thing darting out of the office and tightened her grip on her long blade.
