Chapter 2028 Extra A Brand New Life 143

Chapter 2028: Extra: A Brand New Life 143 Chapter 2028: Extra: A Brand New Life 143 Two months flew by in a blink.

It was a day off, so Mo Yaoyao returned home.

The villa was in the city, very accessible, with a direct bus from the entrance of S University; Mo Yaoyao simply took the bus back home.

As soon as she walked in, she heard Mrs. Zhou talking to Zhou Ping, “You’re not getting any younger, I’m not expecting you to get married and give me a grandchild immediately, but at least find someone to date, otherwise I really start to wonder if there’s something wrong with you.”

Zhou Ping couldn’t help but laugh, “Mom, what could possibly be wrong with me? It’s just that I haven’t found someone I like. Besides, both older sisters haven’t found anyone yet, so why is it my turn? I’m not that old, am I? I’m only twenty-six, one sister is thirty-two, and the other is thirty, you should be urging them instead.”

Mrs. Zhou rolled her eyes at him, “You think I haven’t been pushing them? I have! But now look, they seldom come back. If I keep on nagging, they’ll probably be even less willing to return!”

“Oh, oh, oh,” Zhou Ping laughed heartily, “So, you’re bullying me because I come home every day, huh? Then I’ll just start coming home less often.”

“You guys really want to drive me to my grave!” Mrs. Zhou hit him lightly, exasperated.

Zhou Ping didn’t find it painful, and kept on laughing.

As he lay laughing on the sofa, he noticed the little girl standing at the doorway, “Why don’t you come in when you get back? Come over here,” he beckoned.

Mrs. Zhou immediately pulled the little girl over to sit beside her, “Yaoyao, you came back just in time, help me talk some sense into them. One by one, they’re too worrisome, at least one of you should settle down. None of you are married, and I’m going to go gray over this.”

Zhou Ping laughed heartily, “Mom, if you get gray hair, it’s because of your age, not because of us. Yaoyao, don’t listen to her, we’re not kids anymore, we know our own business.”

“You don’t know shit!” Mrs. Zhou cursed in frustration, “That’s it, I’m setting you all up on blind dates!”

Zhou Ping was speechless, “What era are we living in that we’re still doing blind dates?”

“Why not? There are plenty of opportunities,” Mrs. Zhou immediately replied.

“Then arrange it, but I’m not going. Big sis and second sis surely won’t go either.”

“Then what’s the point of me arranging it? You all really want to kill me,” Mrs. Zhou was truly upset, even venting to Mo Yaoyao, “Yaoyao, how did I end up having kids like this?”

Mo Yaoyao could only hurriedly comfort her, “Don’t be upset. My brothers just haven’t got that on their minds right now; when they do, they’ll start looking.”

“Yaoyao, what you’re saying makes sense, but Mom, are you really crying?” Zhou Ping teased, moving closer with a smile.

This only infuriated Mrs. Zhou further.

“Okay, okay, don’t be angry,” Zhou Ping said, afraid that his teasing would truly upset his mother, “If you want to arrange it, fine, I’ll go, but don’t blame me if none of them work out.”

Mrs. Zhou immediately stopped crying and her smile outshone everyone’s, “I refuse to believe that out of all the blind dates, not one of them will catch your interest!”

Zhou Ping rolled his eyes to the heavens. Was this something to be forced? Over the years, he’d met many girls – if he’d felt something, he would have done so a long time ago; what need was there to wait until now?

Of course, if there was someone he could feel something for, he wouldn’t be averse to it.

After all, he hadn’t planned on getting married, but he also hadn’t planned on being single forever. Everything should just take its natural course, as long as his mom was happy.

But Mo Yaoyao’s hands and feet were ice cold.

When Zhou Ping accidentally touched her hand, he immediately furrowed his brow, “Why are your hands so cold?” He then started rubbing her hands between his and urged her, “Go upstairs and put on a jacket. This cardigan has loose stitches, it’s just for show, it doesn’t keep you warm at all.”
