Chapter 457: A Good Deed Done

Bam! Bam! Bam!!!

In an inconspicuous place near the street food area, Genesis was surrounded by a bunch of men lying on the ground that are groaning in pain.

“Well, that wasn’t hard considering I can only use one arm” Genesis said while looking at the men lying around him with a silly smile on his face.

“Since you folks wanted to rob me, then you wouldn’t mind if I did the same, right?”

“No, no, don’t!”

“Stop it, you bastard!”

“Damn white b-bastard!”

“Shut it! Even if you keep yelling, I wouldn’t understand a thing you people are saying!”

With a devilish smile on his face, Genesis started rummaging through their clothes and took every cash they had on them.

“₩1000…₩100,000…₩500,000…you all combined together only had $5000? Poor bastards!”

While counting the stack of bills on his hands, the men lying on the ground were all glaring at him hatefully, and if one were to look carefully at them, they would notice that all of them had a bone or two that are broken, and all of those are a broken legs, which made them incapable of standing up.

“What’s with all the yelling?”

“S-shit, I think we saw something we shouldn’t have seen, l-let’s get out of here!”

There were a few people who came to take a look when they heard all the yelling, but all were frightened away when they saw the scene of a few grown men crying, and even though the people were clearly crooks, the people who came to check the commotion hurriedly called the authorities out of pity.

After all, those legs they saw were horrifyingly bent in weird angles that will make anyone who saw it wince in disgust.

“Tsk! You people should really stop doing this kind of thing. It’s not good for you, you guys were really lucky that it was me you bumped into, because it wouldn’t be just broken legs you’ll be getting, but…”

Genesis looked at them with a slight pity while giving them a sermon, and by the end of it, he gave them a warning by sliding his thumb against his throat.

A gesture that anyone would understand no matter what language their language is.

“Hold it right there!”

Seeing a couple of police officers running towards them, Genesis immediately bolted out of there while laughing, and behind him, the cops were yelling at him to stop while blowing their whistle.

“Damn white man, he disappeared so fast!” one of the police officers said in their native language while slightly panting from all the running while the civilians who came over because of curiosity were busy taking videos and photos of the scene.

“Aigoo! Isn’t this Lee Suk Jin? It seems you guys finally met your match huh?! It seems like karma is finally starting to bite back after all the shitty things you did!”

While the younger officer was complaining to himself, the older officer among the two recognized one of the goons moaning on the ground and couldn’t help but let out a mocking laugh.

“Shut up and help me! Where’s the ambulance!? Why isn’t it here yet!? And you bastards, stop filming us or else you’re gonna regret it after all of this is over!”

The gangster named Lee Suk Jin obviously wasn’t in the mood to joke around as he once again immediately started yelling in pain when he saw an acquaintance that he didn’t want to see.

“That..that person was really ruthless” the young officer said while looking at their situation, he even had the urge to vomit seeing their legs that vent in uncomfortable angles, and what’s worse, he even imagined their legs dangling like a puppet on strings.

“Nggh! I’ve seen worse” the older officer said with a shrug of his shoulders.

A few minutes passed, and during those few minutes, a couple more officers arrived and this time, the medics were with them who quickly helped the goons on the stretcher and rushed them to the nearest hospital

And to add to injury, they weren’t gentle at all.

“Officer Ji, where’s the person behind it?”

“He quickly left, we didn’t manage to catch him and I doubt we’ll ever come out fine if we continued to chase after him. He’s obviously dangerous from how he didn’t even hesitate to break their legs. Those goons can only hope their legs can function normally when it heals, it was nasty” replied Officer Lee Suk Jin.

“How dangerous?”

“He has a cast on his left arm”

“You..you mean, he has a broken arm and he still managed to take them down!?”

“Yeah, that’s why I stopped Kwang Hee from chasing him when I saw the cast on his arm. He was injured but still managed to come up on top, dangerous~”

“Could it be someone from the UDT?”

“Ohh, he’s a foreigner sir” Officer Kwang Hee immediately butt in when he saw the chance.

The other officer just glanced at Kwang Hee, then back at Suk Jin and said, “Anyway, let’s go. You also need to go back to the office to give your statement on what happened”

“I will, but not before getting something to eat. I’m feeling hungry after seeing those foods on the street stalls”

“Now that you mentioned it, me too”

Soon, the small hiccup on Genesis’ night was over and he can be seen walking past a dimly lit park where he saw an old woman eating something with her two kids, probably her grandchildren.

When he saw that, he was suddenly reminded of Robin sharing his food with the children back at the village they lived in for a long time.

Genesis didn’t know why, but he suddenly thought of the money in his chest pocket that he had taken from the goons, and just as he was about to start walking away, he saw them slowly standing up and leaving the park.

His eyes followed them and when he saw the kids excitedly jumping inside a pushcart as the grandmother pushed it forward, Genesis’ conscience was pricked when he saw that, and he could only release a sigh of helplessness, especially when he got a good look at the things inside the pushcart.

Recyclable things that can be sold for a bit of money.

He stealthily followed after them like a creep, and along the way, he broke a thin twig from a plant on the road. He rolled the money he got from the gangsters earlier and tied it using the twig he got.

When he was near them, he accurately threw it inside the cart as it rolled into a corner.

The old woman didn’t notice it because she was keeping an eye on Genesis when she noticed him following them, and when she looked away for a second, Genesis took that chance and threw the money inside the cart like a professional basketball player, and the kids on the other hand were excitedly talking to each other to notice something new beside them.

Genesis then turned to another street which made the old woman sigh in relief as she had earlier thought he was one of those people on the news she had been hearing that kidnaps kids to sell.

“I hope that money helps them a little” mumbled Genesis as he whistled while walking away, feeling good that he might have done a good deed tonight.
