Chapter 1466: Part 1: A light bulb went off!

From MC’s Perspective:

My expression was dull. I had thought that old man Martin would give me some ideas. But he was saying that those families are powerful.

"What should I do?" I asked.

Old man Martin gave some thought before saying, "First thing, don’t offend them. Their influence inside the Mage Union is real. Let’s hope their descendants are not looking to fight you."

"Second thing, you should first become an official member. Then you will get more safety options," he added.

Hearing that, I became quiet again. None of them is going to be my immediate help. What if the Wizard Seeds and their families would repeat the methods of the Doyle Family again?

Then I thought of something important.

I said, "What if I leave the magic city?"

Hearing that, the old man was stunned. He didn’t expect to hear this from Vincent Carey.

"Kid, don’t you think about it?" Martin said in a serious tone.

"Do you really think you would be safe after leaving the Magic City?" Martin asked.

Then I realised I had almost forgotten about the border town incident. There is already a Forbidden Wizard after my life.

Then there is a level-9 Wizard Hugo. And the Meteor Supreme. I have quite a few enemies.

So leaving the city won’t be safe; rather, I might face more threats. Then I collected my thoughts. I looked at the old man and said, "I apologise."

"There must be something I can do," I added.

Martin nodded and replied, "If you ask me, I would say. You should make an announcement that you have a secret training plan. So you can’t communicate with the outside world."

"This will temporarily stop the ambitions of the Wizard Seeds," he added.

Hearing that I felt this point was valid. Then I changed the topic and started discussing other things.

It didn’t take long for me to get a call from Manager Lara.

Seeing that I decided to leave. Then I told the old man Martin that he would come later. After leaving the bookstore, I started going back towards the central plaza.

On the way, I came across people who were going about their business. They are local. Suddenly, Jeremy thought about the small antique shop. It’s called Whispers and relics.

The father and daughter run their shop. I recalled them. But he doesn’t feel good about visiting them today. I decided to meet them some other time.

Then I reached the Central Plaza and found a flying cab. I told the driver about the destination before sitting inside the car.

Swoosh!

The flying cab hovers above the ground before appearing in midair. Then I started walking towards the Silver Tower.

About 20 minutes later,

The flying cab dropped him at the stop. I exited and paid the fare to the driver. He then started walking back to the Silver Tower.

Soon, I reached the Silver Tower. When I got there, I saw a few people were waiting outside. Seeing them, I was stunned. I don’t know what these people were doing here.

I ignored them and was about to enter the Silver Tower.

"Excuse me. Can you call Manager Lara for us?"

"We are representatives from the elemental towers. We would like to meet Manager Lara," A middle-aged man said.

Hearing that I nodded to him. I’m wearing a mask. They didn’t bother to see me. Then I turned around and used my badge to get inside.

After coming to the lobby, I called Manager Lara.

Right after, Manager Lara arrived at the lobby. Upon seeing Vincent, she asked, "Where have you been?"

"I have been trying to call you," She added.

" I went to meet old man Martin and got some valuable advice from him," I replied.

Hearing that she was surprised.

She then asked, "What advice?"

"He asked me to announce to the outside world that I’m under secret training so that no one can bother me," I told her.

There is nothing to hide here.

Lara raised his eyebrows in surprise.

She said, "It’s timely advice. Don’t you know who’s waiting outside!"

Hearing that, I’m stunned, then said, "They are representatives from the Elemental Towers wanting to meet you."

"Yeahh, it’s true. But they are not here for me, but for you. The wizard’s seeds must have sent them here," Lara said.

I was dumbfounded. I felt it was too fast.

"I’m not going to fight anyone until I become an official member," I said to Lara.

"I’ll inform Lord Charlotte, you can go back to your room," Lara said.

I thanked her before going to my room. Soon, I reached the room and entered. Then I shut the door before coming to the sofa to sit comfortably.

I felt today was a good day compared to yesterday. No one can force me to fight unless I want to.

Meanwhile,

Lara was able to connect her call with Forbidden Wizard Charlotte. Lara then told Forbidden Wizard Charlotte about the ongoing situations.

Charlotte was annoyed. She had thought no other magic towers would bother them for a while. But she was wrong. The other magic towers are interested in Vincent Carey.

They won’t let him go peacefully.

She asked, "What is he doing right now?"

Lara then told her about Vincent Carey’s meeting with Elder Martin and mentioned the advice as well.

Charlotte was surprised. She didn’t expect Vincent Carey to develop connections as well. But she knows about that elder as well.

So she thinks Vincent Carey was safe with him. Then she thought about the advice as well. It felt good to plan for her. She then told Lara to make the formal announcement.

But she asked her to make a slight change. It’s not only Vincent Carey; the rest of the wizard seeds of the Silver Tower would undergo special training.

It would help them to become a level-9 Wizard sooner.

The reason for doing this is to make Silver Tower stronger, especially after the conflict with the Wind Elemental Tower.

Lara was taken aback. She didn’t think much about the advice earlier. But now hearing Lord Charlotte’s plan. She thinks it’s a good idea.
