The director called everyone over to gather and discuss the scene, including Heather, who was stretching not far away.
But midway, Qu Leqi intervened and stopped Heather.
"Heather, can you pour me a glass of water? My assistant stepped out."
Heather paused, glanced at her, and said flatly, "What does that have to do with me? Iām not your assistant."
"Fine, Iāll pay you," Qu Leqi smirked, her tone laced with mockery toward Heather.
Heather turned around, crossed her arms, and gazed at Qu Leqi from a higher vantage point.
Looks like someone who just recently "climbed up" was feeling triumphant and itching to test her limits.
To be honest, Heather wasnāt particularly ill-tempered, but if she came across someone who ticked her offāor worse, crossed her bottom lineāshe would never hold back.
She stared, waiting to see which landmine Qu Leqi would step on today.
If it exploded, thereād be no room for negotiations!
"Wipe my shoes for me," Heather stood like a queen, lowering her gaze to glance at her feet. "Iāll pay you, how about that?"
"Are you kidding me?" Qu Leqi let out a laugh.
She was asked to wipe her shoes?
Heather didnāt even bother to check whether this request was beneath her!
"Since you know itās a joke, then drop it. Remember the saying about keeping to your own laneādonāt cross the line. Iām not a man, so donāt expect me to show mercy to you just because you act sweet."
Qu Leqi straightened her posture, flaunting her fingers as she tucked her hair behind her ear and lingered for a moment.
The diamond ring on her finger flashed under the lights, as did the brilliant diamond on her earlobeāit was especially eye-catching.
She was showing off, and even the surrounding people noticed; let alone Heather.
The others widened their mouths in shock, exchanging slack-jawed glances with one another. What was there to misunderstand? That diamond, the size of a pigeon eggāhow many carats was it? Mr. Nian was way too generous...
In addition to shock, there were plenty of envious whispers.
Even if they gambled their entire lives, they wouldnāt be able to get their hands on a diamond ring like hers.
Some people just have all the luck!
Heather merely glanced at it once, completely indifferent.
This kind of cheap flaunting was really hard to watch.
What she possessed, she had long grown tired of.
Not wanting to waste any more words on Qu Leqi, Heather didnāt say another word and turned around to leave.
"Hey!" The one person desperately wanting to see Heatherās reaction wasnāt about to let her go. Qu Leqi stood up and stopped her, shouting, "Mr. Nian said heās taking me to the Carnival Resort this weekend."
Heather smirked and shook her head, walking toward the director.
This Qu Leqiāif she didnāt show off, sheād probably die.
Where they were going had absolutely nothing to do with her.
"Hey, you!" Qu Leqi was practically about to spit blood in fury.
Sheād wanted to see Heatherās "exploding with jealousy" face, but in the end, the one who ended up infuriated was herself!
How could Heather not care at all?
"Sister Leqi! I got your coffee," Xiao Wan panted as she ran back.
Qu Leqi smacked the coffee out of Xiao Wanās hand with one swing and snarled, "Get lost!"
"Ah!" Xiao Wan screamed in pain.
Heather paused, turning back to look. Xiao Wan was clutching her hand, squatting down, while the coffee cup lay discarded on the ground.
"Xiao Wan!" A few people hurried over. "Quick, get some ice. Her hand is turning red! This is outrageous..."
Someone muttered under their breath, but the last sentence was almost drowned out, no one daring to say it too loudly.
