But she still stepped forward, blocking the side of Keira, and faced the two women from the Olsen family. “What are you doing here?”

Christina scoffed. “Of course, we won’t become infatuated like her. Now the whole of Clance knows about the stupid thing she did; how could anyone be willing to marry her again!”

Victoria then said, “Sister, don’t say that. The other day, she announced publicly that she wanted to marry Mr. Horton!”

Christina immediately laughed mockingly. “Her? How? Just because it’s a second marriage, she thinks she’s eligible? Can men be compared to women? You were deceived, but Mr. Horton is a widower—that’s different! Moreover, the Olsen family and the Horton family had a marriage arrangement long ago. She patted Rebecca’s hand in a calming gesture.
