Chapter 363
Keira heard these words and immediately furrowed her brows. âWhy should you take the job?â
âŠ.
Christina sneered, âDonât you know? The position of a board member for the kindergarten is generally held by a woman. Since the Olsen family became a school trustee, they must send a representative. Now I am the only qualified woman in the Olsen family, so of course, itâs me!â
Keira found this laughable.
Mrs. Jones, who was standing nearby, said, âEven so, you canât just expel children at will! By doing this, youâve caused great psychological trauma to them!â
Mrs. Jones thought back to when she suddenly received a call from the school and was flustered, so got there in a hurry.
She found her son, who was usually well-behaved and always smiling, crying with swollen eyes.
Her son was standing at the door as a punishment, with his little stool and backpack, and when she approached, he immediately burst into tears.
The teacher nearby didnât offer any comfort. Instead, she scolded, âThis is a school. What are you crying for? Donât disrupt the other childrenâs classes!â
Mrs. Jones almost lost her mind and charged forward, fiercely pushing the teacher away and then taking her son into her arms.
She gently patted her sonâs back, soothing him, and then stared at the teacher in anger. âWhat are you doing?â
When she saw Amy being bullied last time, she had felt as if it were happening to her own child.
Now that it was her own sonâs turn, she felt almost driven to madness.
Yet the teacher was still there, clamoring. âWhat am I doing? Your son misbehaved at school. He was urinating at will and throwing worms into someone elseâs backpack. The teachers had a meeting and discussion, and he has been expelled!â
Having said that, the teacher pointed to a blackboard nearby, which displayed a public criticism notice!
Mrs. Jones glanced at it and saw that both her son and Amy were on the list.
Brandon immediately said, âMom, I didnât do it. The poop was something the teacher dropped on the ground; she was framing me! I didnât throw worms into my classmateâs backpack either. It was my classmate who brought them to play with, and all the classmates admitted it. But the teacher insists it was me. â
Brandon never lied.
Therefore, Mrs. Jones immediately believed him and turned to the teacher. âI demand that you apologize to my son!â
Yet, the teacher retorted. âI have nothing to apologize for. This was the boardâs decision, and it has nothing to do with me!â
Mrs. Jones immediately understood; because she spoke up for Amy as a witness last time, she and her son were now on the Olsen sistersâ blacklist!
She was helpless, as her familyâs influence couldnât possibly match that of the Olsen family.
Even though she had just completed a project with the Horton Group, it was merely a small opening for Horton Groupâs entry into Clance, and it was no match compared to the power of the top five elite familiesâŠ
Mrs. Jones suddenly thought of the last time when Keera casually suggested that her husband would sign a contract with the Horton Group, and then it actually happened.
That was why she didnât even think about it and immediately rushed over hereâŠ
But now, Mrs. Jones gradually calmed down.
She felt she had been grasping at straws out of desperation.
Keera was just a young woman, and after the Horton Group incident, Mr. Jones had made some inquiries about her.
Reportedly, she had been brainwashed by a boyfriend in college and lived the life of a devoted wife and mother after marriage. She had only recently divorced, completed a project, and gotten involved with the Olsen family and the Davis family.
It must not have done her many favors to lack a connection with the Horton Group, so what good would come to her now? It would only bring Keira down with her own sorrow.
Mrs. Jones was pondering this when she heard Christina speak. âItâs not without reason, is it? Weâve provided a reason, and we even caught it all on surveillance!â
Mrs. Jones snapped. âYes, itâs on tape, but itâs been maliciously edited! My son simply walked past some feces, and you claim he did it. He just glanced at a classmateâs insects, and you insist he brought them into school⊠This is simply unreasonable!â
Christina sneered. âUnreasonable? Didnât I reason with you last time at school? Did you listen? Later we found out itâs because your family signed a contract with the Horton family. Do you think your family is safe now? My sister is going to marry into the Horton family, and yet you are oblivious to your own stupidity!â
These words made Mrs. Jonesâs face change.
Keira chuckled. âWhy are you insulting yourself?â
Christina was taken aback. âWhat?â
âOblivious to your own stupidity.â Keira spread her hands. âIf youâre so good at self-reflection, I wonât scold you. After all, I only scold bitches.â
Christina was so angry that her chest heaved. âYou little slut!â
Then she looked at the surrounding bodyguards. âYou guys, go hold her down for me. Iâm going to teach her a lesson today and show her what Iâm capable of!â
Keira raised an eyebrow, showing no intention of fighting back, and instead pointed to the nearby camera. âThis is my home, not a school where you can manipulate the surveillance. Believe it or not, if you dare to lay a hand on me, Iâll have you arrested!â
After saying that, she looked at Christina. âGuess whether your masters will protect you then?â
If it really came to a police issue, wouldnât the ones needing to provide explanations be them?
The bodyguards hesitated at once.
Seeing this, Victoria said, âKeira, thereâs really no need to make this ugly. The reason weâre targeting you is that you went too far before.â
Christina immediately scoffed. âRight, you slapped me, and I let it go. But how dare you hit my sister? Sheâs not only the second daughter of the Olsen family but also the future Mrs. Horton. Youâre really asking for it!â
Mrs. Horton?
Keira found it laughable and retorted. âWhere did this Mrs. Horton come from? Did Mr. Horton agree? Youâre calling yourself Mrs. Horton. Where do you get this sense of superiority from?â
Victoria was choked by the retort. âYouâŠâ
Then she turned to look at Christina.
Christina then said, âMrs. Jones, Keira, I came here today to tell you that if Keira can apologize to me sincerely, I might be able to forgive herâŠâ
Mrs. Jonesâs eyes lit up immediately when she heard this but then dimmed again shortlyâŠ
Before Mrs. Jones could speak, Keira asked, âHow should I apologize?â
âOf course, by kneeling and begging me!â
Christina glared at her viciously. âThe daughters of the Olsen family have both been hit by you; you must give us an explanation today!!â
Keira laughed at the remark. âThe only two adopted daughters? Do you have any idea who I am?!â
