Chapter 364
âWho are you?â
âŠ.
Christina sneered, âYouâre Keera, arenât you? Before coming here, we had already thoroughly investigated your background.â
Keira was about to speak when Mary suddenly charged in front of her, blocking her way. âChristina, Victoria, thatâs enough! Believe it or not, if I tell Ellis about todayâs events, he wonât let you off!â
Christina was startled and hesitated for a moment.
Victoria lowered her gaze and said indifferently, âYesterday, Ellis seemed to have gone out. Why werenât you together on your wedding night?â
That remark seemed to remind Christina.
She immediately acted like she had caught on to something. âVicky, are you serious?â
She seldom called Victoria by her full name because she hated their names. She felt the Olsen family gave them such big names just to prove something.
Victoria nodded. âI saw it with my own eyes. After Ellis left last night, he never came back. Mary, whatâs going on with you and Ellis? You two didnât have a fight, did you? Youâve just gotten married; it should be your honeymoon periodâŠâ
Christina said, âItâs definitely because Ellis doesnât love her. What else could it be? I always thought there was something wrong with their marriage. There are so many young ladies in Clance. Why would Ellis end up with her of all people? She must have done something shameful to seduce him! Now sheâs having a child, hoping to rise above her station overnight. Mary, I advise you to recognize your place. Do you really think that by marrying Ellis, you can become our sister-in-law? Let me tell you, itâs impossible! No one will accept you!â
Victoria said, âChristina, you canât just say that. She does have a status after all. We should still let her have some dignity.â
Christina scoffed. âFine, she can apologize. As long as the apology is sincere enough, we can let her off the hook!â
Victoria raised an eyebrow.
Mary asked naively, âOkay, Iâll apologize on behalf of Keera. Regardless of what has happened or who is right or wrong, weâre sorry. Can we live harmoniously from now on?â
Christina immediately laughed. âMary, you canât be that naive. Is an apology over and done with just by saying it?â
Mary immediately furrowed her brows. âThen what do you want? Or should I say, how much money do you want?â
Christina and Victoria exchanged glances before Christina said, âWe donât need money.â
Mary blurted out without thinking. âThen what do you want? A house? Jewelry? Or something else?â
Victoria didnât say a word but only looked at Keira with a smile.
Christina then crossed her arms. âWe wonât make it difficult for our sister-in-law. Given your special status and being pregnant at the moment, letâs have Keera kneel to me and apologize, and thatâll be fine.â
âKneel?â
Maryâs voice turned sharp in an instant. âImpossible!â
She looked at Christina as if she had understood something and said, âYouâre not here to negotiate at all. Youâre just here to make things difficult for Keera!â
âFinally figured it out?â Christina admitted. âMary, as long as you stay out of it today, we wonât make things difficult for you in the Olsen family in the future. Otherwise, you should know, given the regard the Olsen family has for Vicky and me, youâll gave some very difficult days ahead!â
After saying that, she looked at Keira again. âKneel, and Iâll forgive you, but I want you to kneel longer for my sister because you hit her!â
Mary was so angry her face turned ashen, and she said furiously, âI told you, itâs impossible! Christina, you two better leave immediately, or else I willâŠâ
Her words trailed off for a moment.
âOr else what?â Christina scoffed. âCall the police? Youâre now a member of the Olsen family as well. You should understand that even the police canât touch us.â
Victoria added. âMaybe sheâs planning to call Ellis?â
âEllis? Will he answer her call? She ran away on her wedding night. Does she think she can command Ellis? Besides, if he were here, itâs not a given he would take her side!â
Mary was so angry she couldnât speak and simply shouted, âYouâŠâ
âWhat about us?â
Christina took a step forward, her chin slightly raised as she looked down at the others. âAre you going to kneel? Beg for mercy! Donât force us to get physical!â
Keira, with her arms crossed, stood her ground and spoke only to Mary and Rebecca. âYou two, go upstairs.â
Mary didnât understand what was happening, but Rebecca immediately nodded, grabbing Mary and pulling her back.
Mary became angry. âWhat are you doing? Keira might get hurt!â
âShe wonâtâŠâ
Rebecca comforted her, âYou must trust the benefactorâs abilityâŠâ
âWhat ability?â Mary panicked. âIâve grown up with her since we were kids. She really might get hurt!â
âDonât worry, she wonât!â
Rebecca continued pulling at Mary. âDonât go over there and be an obstruction!â
Mary was very worried. Just as she was about to move forward again, she saw Keira twist her fists slightly, take a step forward, and look at Christina, saying, âQuit the nonsense. Are you planning to come at me together, or one by one?â
Christina was dumbfounded.
Victoria also frowned.
Victoria clenched her jaw. âLeaving aside that youâre going to face so many of us alone, do you really think even if you could beat them, you would dare take a move?â
âExactly, we are the Olsen family! My sister and I are the most pampered daughters. If you lay a hand on us and it causes a big scene, the Olsen family will never let you off the hook!â
Keira tilted her head. âYou really talk too much. Are you just here to stir up trouble?â
Christina then looked toward Mrs. Jones. âMrs. Jones, arenât you afraid? If she really dares to fight back, we definitely wonât let your son or her daughter go back to school!â
Upon hearing this, Mrs. Jones said, âWhether he goes to school or not isnât important. What matters is that I want George to know heâs not a measurement of value! Miss South, do as you see fit! If worst comes to worst, Iâll send my son abroad!â
Keira looked at Mrs. Jones again after hearing this and felt that she had found a friend worth keeping. She nodded.
Meanwhile, outside the villa, a string of luxury cars entered one after another, attracting the attention of everyone in the neighborhood from the moment they entered.
Soon, the cars stopped right at the doorstep of the South residence. Bodyguards immediately got out of the cars and jogged around to the other side, opening the car doors.
The head of them was a Rolls-Royce. A handsome middle-aged man in a suit came out, and it was none other than Uncle Olsen.
He looked toward the small villa and then back at the front door, only to find that the door to the villa was unexpectedly openâŠ
