Chapter 192: Crazy Hunting

Ethan’s mouth started twitching.

"Hey Sunny, why don’t we share my food? My mother gave me a lot of food."

"Really?" Sunny’s eyes started glowing.

"Sure. Come, have a bite."

Sunny didn’t stand on ceremony. Both of them ate to their heart’s content.

Sunny said, "Ethan, your mother is good. Her cooking is the best. Even better than my mother."

Ethan instantly became happy. Maybe it wasn’t a bad idea to share his food with this fatty. Though he still felt the pain in his heart—the fatty ate too much.

Ethan was about to take a nap, but then he sensed a powerful aura approaching them. It was a true beast.

Ethan stood up.

Sunny looked at him lazily, "Where are you going, bro? I am so tired. Let’s rest first."

"Stand up, Sunny, a true beast is approaching us."

Instantly, the laziness on Sunny’s face disappeared.

He stood up and looked at Ethan.

"We should run, right?"

Ethan said, "Why would we run? Aren’t you possessing the bloodline of the strongest magus of humanity? Can’t you fight one level above?"

Sunny said, "Bro, let’s fight. I’ll show that beast who I am."

He became a little pumped up.

Then they saw the beast. It was a giant wolf.

Instantly, all the bravado Sunny just gathered disappeared into thin air.

"Bro, we really should run. This is a peak level true beast."

Ethan said, "You try first. If you can’t handle it, I’ll step in."

Sunny looked at Ethan with suspicion. "Are you stronger than me?"

He had never seen Ethan use a spell, so he had no idea about Ethan’s strength.

Ethan said, "At least 50 times."

Sunny said, "Stop bragging. I am attacking the monster. If anything happens, I am not responsible. I am gonna use that token."

Ethan rolled his eyes. Just attack already.

Sunny this time used a different spell. He started creating a mana ball,a golden light elemental mana ball.

The monster immediately felt the threat from that ball and charged toward them.

Sunny then shot a huge golden beam of light toward the wolf.

It hit the monster and burned its flesh. But the wounds weren’t deep enough.

The wolf started roaring in agony.

Sunny looked at Ethan, "Bro, that was my strongest attack. I can’t defeat it. I think I made it even angrier."

Ethan said, "You have done enough. Now step aside and let your big brother take the stage."

Sunny pouted his chubby face, "How are you my big brother? We are the same age."

Ethan said, "But the strongest one gets to be the senior brother. And between us, I am clearly the strongest."

Sunny said, "First defeat that thing if you can, then maybe I will call you big brother."

Ethan gave a smug smile, "You said it. Don’t forget."

Then Ethan stood in his position and pointed his finger at the wolf like a gun.

And boom!

A plasma beam shot from his finger and directly hit the head of the wolf. It didn’t even get a chance to observe the situation and died with regret.

Sunny’s eyes widened.

"Brother, you are so awesome. You are the senior brother from now on. One day I will beat you and become the senior brother myself."

Ethan looked at him with disdain,

"Huh, little brother, dreaming is good, but if the dream is unachievable, it will only bring frustration."

Sunny looked at him with annoyance.

Ethan now had two hundred points. He thought he was number 1 now.

But he was mistaken. This was not the stage of a low tier empire like his; it was the grand stage where the best geniuses of humanity gathered.

At this moment, when Ethan and Sunny were lazing off, four more candidates got 232, 253, 256, and 260 points. They killed many apprentice tier beasts and also adept tier.

Ethan was in 5th position and Sunny was in 11th.

They had a token that allowed them to see their ranking.

Ethan and Sunny didn’t check the ranking because they thought no one would be able to overtake them.

But Ethan just checked to see who was in 3rd position and behind.

When he saw the ranking, his eyes widened.

He was in 5th position and Sunny was out of the top 10 list.

He instantly asked Sunny to check the ranking.

When he saw he was out of the top 10 list, he almost had a panic attack. His brother got 3rd rank and his sister got 2nd rank in their respective competition.

He had told them that he would get first rank. But now he was not even in the top 10. He would be humiliated if the news got out.

"Bro, enough with this rest. Let’s hunt monsters."

He seriously looked at Ethan.

Ethan also didn’t want to lose too much. If they heard that the boy who got admission without taking the 2nd phase exam ended up in 5th position, they would surely make him a laughingstock.

Then those monsters became killing machines. Ethan would detect monsters and he and Sunny would go after them. One by one, they started gaining more points.

Finally, night came. They would have to stay in the forest tonight.
