"Just bring her here."
Nathan looked at the piece of paper, giving a single answer. Nathan thought they would tell him not to meet because of the Sleeping Garden, but he never thought Evelyn and Bella seemed to not mind meeting Vivian.
Hence, Nathan took Vivian out of the city.
"Where are we going?" Vivian looked around. "There are only trees here. Are you sure weâre in the correct place?"
"Yeah, yeah." Nathan waved his hand. He took out a piece of paper and put ena into it. Then, the teleportation circle was activated, the light emerging from the ground.
"A magic circle?" Vivian looked surprised.
"Yeah. This is the paper that can activate the teleportation circle. Without it, you wonât be able to activate it. Once itâs activated, it will give a signal to her, and she will be the one activating the true power of the teleportation circle."
"Oh?!" Vivian observed the teleportation circle. "To think Senior Evelynâs mastery has reached this level... The last time I saw her was when she got the second contract..."
"Haha." Nathan chuckled as the teleportation circle brought them to the base.
Normally, Evelyn and Bella would be in the office, but this time, they were standing in front of the teleportation circle as though they had been waiting for them the whole time.
"!!!" Vivian widened her eyes. Although they had looked much more mature, Vivian could still recognize them clearly. These two were indeed the seniors that saved her life in the past.
The atmosphere turned awkward quickly. Even though they hadnât met for a few years, the difference in their identities was simply too big. While she had resigned from her position as the vice principal of the Frexia Academy, she was still a leading figure in the study.
Meanwhile, the other party was the leader of a secret organization whose strength couldnât be underestimated.
That was why Vivian didnât know what to say.
She just fiddled with her hair and waved her hand. "Seniors... Itâs been a while... Hello..."
Bellaâs eyes flashed as she suddenly moved closer to Vivian and just hugged her. "Itâs really been a while, Vivian... Should I call you Vice Principal Vivian now?"
"Donât tease me, Senior." Vivian smiled wryly. "Iâm no longer the vice principal. I canât afford to remain neutral anymore in the school, so I have to leave."
"Really? Why would you leave like that?" Bella frowned.
"Well, I have Nathan here. Besides, there will be Nathanâs disciple, Iris, who will be enrolling in the Frexia Academy. Thatâs why itâs better for me to leave the academy to avoid any bias." Vivian smiled.
"Oh? Nathan actually has a disciple? Even though he himself needs to learn a lot of things?" Bella glanced at Nathan.
"Ahahaha..." Nathan just scratched the back of his head.
"Donât say it like that, Senior. Iris is going to turn 14 years old this year, you know?"
"Seriously?" Bella looked surprised. "The average age for the ena to mature is 18 years old. However, some geniuses will be able to become a summoner at 17 years old, no, even 16 years old. Nathan is one of them.
"But 14 years old...? What kind of genius is this girl?"
"There you have it." Vivian nodded. "Besides, that girlâs path is similar to his, so I will let her do it however she wants."
Bella shrugged. "Well, it doesnât really matter to me. With you overseeing her progress, she should be fine."
Vivian smiled awkwardly, not knowing what to say. In the end, Irisâ achievement originated from Nathan, according to Charlotte. She didnât understand much about the karma she explained, but Nathan seemed to be that special.
"Anyway, youâre not going to say anything, Evelyn?" Bella glanced back at Evelyn, who had remained silent all this time.
Evelyn and Vivian stared at each other. Evelyn said, "Itâs been a while, Vivian."
"Yes, Senior." Vivian nodded.
Evelyn turned around while saying, "You donât seem to be well. Come inside."
"Right? Letâs go." Bella smirked while pushing Vivian forward until they reached the dining table. It was full of food as though they had just cooked it, which surprised Nathan.
He finally understood why Vivian said Evelyn was expressive, just not with her emotion.
"In that case, I will take my leave." Nathan waved his hand. He came here just to bring Vivian anyway, so it was better to give them some space to catch up.
However, a teleportation circle just appeared underneath his feet and teleported him to the chair.
"..." Nathan was surprised, not understanding what was going on.
"Just take your seat. I should thank you for bringing her here. Maybe, without you, we will never see each other again," said Evelyn, her expression remaining the same all this time.
"I know, right? Do you know what happened yesterday?" Bella smirked. "Listen here, Vivian. Do you know that yesterday, both of themâ"
She abruptly stopped when Evelyn glared at her. Evelyn asked, "Bella. Do you want to take a cold bath outside?"
"Ahahaha." Bella looked away while rubbing her cheek.
However, that kind of clue was enough for Vivian. She couldnât help but think, âSomething happened between the two of them? But knowing Senior Evelyn, the fact that Nathan is alright...
âDonât tell me, the once immovable Evelyn is interested in my disciple? But wait... If my senior ends up becoming my discipleâs wife? What about me? What about the seniority between us? This is awkward...â
It was even more awkward when she remembered her outburst yesterday.
Bella, who wanted to avoid all this awkwardness, cheerfully said, "Come on. Eat first. We can talk later. You have become thinner. Have you been bothered by something in the past few days?
"Look at this girl. Where are your glasses? You look better with your glasses, you know? Do you want to borrow mine?"
Vivian chuckled. "Jeez. You already know that my eyes are good, Senior. I just used it for reading or protection when working on something."
Bella chuckled. With Bellaâs effort, the atmosphere became less awkward. Gradually, they shared everything that had happened in the last few years while Nathan and Evelyn ate silently, watching these two talking.
Nathan was never a part of them, while Evelyn was someone who didnât talk a lot, so they just stayed quietly in the corner while watching them.
