Once they finished, the atmosphere gradually became serious.
"Seniors." Vivian took a deep breath, looking at Evelyn and Bella with a solemn face. She definitely wanted to tell them to leave Nathan out of this.
However, she knew that Nathanās path was different. She shouldnāt hinder him any longer.
That was why Vivian said, "I have heard about your plan regarding another continent. I wonāt say anything about it, but please... allow me to join your journey."
"!!!" Evelyn and Bella raised their eyebrows. They couldnāt help but turn to Nathan, since he was the only person who could tell her.
"You donāt have to guess. Nathan has told me everything. As much as I want to tell him not to go, I know that deep down, Iām the one who is supposed to go.
"Heās not someone who will walk behind someone else. Thatās why this time, I want to go! Itās time for me... for us to let go of the past. Even if it means challenging death itself, Iām willing."
Bella glanced at Evelyn, while the latter said calmly, "You donāt understand the danger."
"Yeah. I might not understand it, but I can always learn it. Still, thereās one thing clear. Iām prepared for the danger. This is not just for him, this is for me, for us... for all the people who canāt stand back up because of that incident.
"Itās time for us to finally take a step forward and let go of our past. Thatās why, please..." Vivian lowered her head.
Seeing his teacher acting that way, Nathan followed suit.
With both of them lowering their heads, Bella couldnāt really say anything. She was simply too soft on the people close to her.
Evelyn, on the other hand, asked coldly, "Suppose I reject your request..."
"I will do anything to sabotage your plan."
"Are you threatening us?" Evelyn squinted her eyes.
"Yes. Rather than getting stuck in my past, itās better if I die while trying to move forward. At the very least, I can proudly say that I die trying." Vivian nodded without hesitation. "Besides, I donāt know what your plan is, but I do know you are relying on Nathan.
"If I sabotage Nathan, itās all the end for you."
Evelyn pinched the bridge of her nose. "Do you understand what youāre talking about right now? Have you grown strong enough that you dare to oppose me now, Vivian?"
"I havenāt grown stronger than you. However, my mouth has become louder than you." Vivian harrumphed. Other than arguing with Melissa, Vivian was indeed a quiet person, similar to Evelyn.
Evelyn let out a long sigh. She glanced at Nathan. "We still need a boat."
"No worries. I will ask Flora about it... well, to be precise, her aunt. I should be able to convince her." Nathan nodded.
Vivian thought for a moment, realizing what Nathan might need. However, the fact she mentioned it in front of her meant Evelyn had agreed to her participation.
"Senior..." Vivianās eyes brightened.
Evelyn looked away. "No need to call me seniors anymore. In the end, I have never graduated from the Frexia Academy, so Iām not your senior anymore. Just call me by my name."
"Senior!" A smile appeared on her face before she lowered her head. "Thank you very much."
"Like I said, just call me by my name." Evelyn shook her head helplessly. "Anyway, since you will be joining us, just prepare yourself, since the journey itself will take a while. Itās most likely 3 to 4 months from now, right?"
"Yes. After destroying the Divine Hand, we will fully focus on the travel. If we wait any longer, Iām afraid the worldās situation will just get so much worse that I donāt have any other option but to stay here." Nathan shrugged.
"Divine Hand!" Vivian almost forgot about this. They originally planned to eliminate the Divine Hand, but because the Divine Hand had been silent in the last few months, she forgot about them.
"Are you planning to have her join us as well against the Divine Hand?" Bella asked.
"I donāt know." Evelyn shook her head. Nathan was probably the one who should decide it. But it was better to know about the situation inside the Divine Hand before thinking about their next step.
Evelyn raised two fingers. "I only ask you for two things. Stay quiet about this and follow my order. Well, heās the strategist here, so yeah... Anyway, this period will be delicate, so proceed with caution."
"I understand." Vivian nodded with a serious expression.
Bella waved her hand. "Hehehe. Welcome, Vivian."
"Yes!" Vivian smiled. "Itās a pleasure to work with you again."
Bella smiled. "Why donāt you stay here for a night, Vivian?"
"As much as I would like to, I donāt think I can stay here. Itās bad for my position and yours." Vivian shook her head. In the end, Vivian was just an outsider, not even a member of the Sleeping Garden like Nathan. Even though they were close to each other in the past, it wouldnāt change her status.
"Is that so? Thatās a shame."
"I will send you back then." Evelyn nodded in agreement.
"Thank you very much." Vivian paused for a moment before lowering her head. "Before that, thereās something Iād like to express. Thank you, seniors. Thank you for saving our lives. Without your sacrifice, we wonāt be here today. If you need anything, please ask me about it. Iāll do my best to fulfill it."
"You should thank Evelyn for that. I didnāt do anything." Bella waved her hand.
Evelyn shook her head. "I turned the misfortune into a blessing, so you donāt have to thank me or anything. As long as youāre living properly, thatās good enough for me. It would be good if Melissa could finally move on too... Hopefully, you can bring this news to Melissa once we return from that continent."
"Yes. Please leave it to me." Vivian nodded. "Melissa is living near me now, so I will support her just like you told me to."
Evelyn nodded, satisfied. She waved her hand, forming a magic circle. "Do you have anything else to say?"
Vivian waved her hand. This time, her smile looked so nostalgic... the smile that had once been so pure without worrying about all their past. Just like when they were in the student council. "I just wish that we can meet again, just like in the past."
Evelyn looked surprised, as though she remembered that peaceful time. She tossed a small piece of paper while looking away. "On the 29th of the month, this place is always empty."
Vivian recognized this piece of paper since it was the same as the one in Nathanās possession. It was basically Evelyn telling her to meet her again whenever she wanted to.
Vivian smiled as both of them were teleported back to the forest.
Nathan was smiling quietly. He was just happy that they could finally reunite.
However, Vivian suddenly stopped him. "Thank you, Nathan."
"You donāt have to thank me." Nathan shrugged.
"No. You will probably need my thanks."
"Hmm?" Nathan raised his eyebrows, realizing that Vivian was implying something else.
"Donāt you need a boat? You want to convince Duchess Rena Ivorial, right? How about I go with you? I can make her agree in just a few seconds."
