Nathan and Evelyn walked across the street. Evelyn covered her face with a veil so that others wouldn’t plan to do anything to her for the time being.

Mae followed behind them, erasing her presence as much as possible.

By walking in the street, they could get a good grasp of the city’s situation. From the looks of it, the city appeared to be in order. They had shoveled the ash outside the city, and there was no riot.

“That is…” Nathan paused for a moment and stopped after two more shops before pointing at the shop in front of them. “Here.”

“!!!” Evelyn was dumbfounded. “Are you… serious?”

“Dead serious.”

“This… Why are we even in a clothing store? Can’t we just rely on your familiar’s ability?”

“Do you know what the three most important things in this environment are?”

“Hmm?”

“Food, clothing, military. The military is obvious because there’s still the alien race trying to annihilate us. They barely have food, so this is the biggest problem. On the other hand, clothing is the last priority. It is important but not too important. Your doubt will be answered after entering this store.”

Evelyn was still confused, but she had no choice but to follow Nathan’s words. Once they entered the store, they found a deserted shop. The store was quite spacious. If it were a normal situation, they would probably be able to take care of tens of customers at once.

Yet, after the volcanic eruption, it was nothing but an empty store. There was not a single customer. Even the wealthy ones didn’t come anymore.

As a result, there were only two people inside the store. The first one was a female staff next to the door, and the second one was a middle-aged man standing on the counter.

The female staff was surprised and hurriedly greeted them. “Welcome to the Bunny and Funny Boutique, esteemed customers.”

Evelyn tugged Nathan’s arm, sending a message.

Nathan was already aware of her concern. The female staff was actually a summoner. Her strength wasn’t low either. Although he was much stronger than the female staff, this person was still a grandmaster level summoner.

She might have just become one, but it was rare for such a person to be a normal staff. From the looks of it, the female staff was related to the middle-aged man at the counter.

The female staff was surprised not only by the fact that there was a customer but also by Nathan and Evelyn’s strength. They were stronger than her. Even the familiar was clearly stronger.

The moment the middle-aged man heard ‘esteemed customers,’ he sprang from behind the counter and greeted them.

“Welcome, esteemed customers. I am Cyan, the owner of this shop. How can I help you?”

Nathan smirked while pointing at Evelyn. “I want a few sets of clothes for her.”

“Certainly. We have a variety of clothes. Allow me to guide you.” The owner politely bowed while extending his hand.

Nathan nodded and gently pushed Evelyn’s back. Evelyn didn’t understand what was going on but still followed Nathan’s lead. Then, she hesitated for a moment when Nathan made a gesture to take off her veil.

Since there was no one else here, Evelyn took out her veil. The shop owner was stunned for a moment. Even the female staff couldn’t help but be mesmerized by her beauty despite being female.

“How about trying on a few clothes?” Nathan asked.

Evelyn ultimately chose to do it. The owner enthusiastically introduced a lot of clothes. As one would expect from a businessman, he definitely offered something that made Nathan want to buy them.

Of course, Nathan feasted his eyes on Evelyn’s beauty in several outfits. It was something he had never seen back on Gratzel, so he definitely took advantage of this.

“How is it, esteemed customers?” The boss asked.

“All of them look good.” Nathan nodded, satisfied. “How is it? Shall we buy everything?”

Evelyn was hesitant because she didn’t see the need to buy those clothes. Still, she nodded her head. “Up to you.”

“Then, let’s buy them all.” Nathan smiled. “Pack them up.”

“Thank you very much.” The boss bowed to them excitedly. He rushed to the counter and packed them beautifully. “I will give a discount to our esteemed customers. All of this is for 1,100,000 Zel.”

‘Zel? This continent’s currency? Now… What are you going to do, Nathan? It might expose your identity as someone from outside the continent.’ Evelyn had expected this, so she quietly observed Nathan’s way of getting out of this.

Just like her, he had predicted this would happen. As such, he took out a big bag of flour from his space bracelet.

“!!!” Both the owner and the staff were stunned. They had never seen anything that could store items inside.

Evelyn thought this was a clever solution, but there was one problem. And it looked like Nathan would be facing that problem.

The boss smiled wryly and said, “I’m sorry, esteemed customers. We don’t accept barter.”
