"YOU USELESS FOOLSSSS!!! LEAVE IF YOUāRE SO AFRAID. THE DOOR IS RIGHT THERE!"
Some of the young demons who were previously bold and fearless took several steps back in fear after the old Frostbornās aura slammed into them.
How could they not be afraid?
They were all Fiends and Lesser Demons, and the auctioneer was a Greater Demon.
They could not withstand his aura, especially an aura he was releasing because of his fury.
As for the old Frostborn, he was cursing these little children and their ancestors in his mind.
āThese fools! Do you want to end my life?! If something happens to young master Lucien in this auction, then Iām dead!ā
If not for the fact that the little demons had sponsors that he could ignore, he would have wiped them off the face of the demon realm without a second thought.
He was about to act when he saw that the fools in front of him were still standing and not doing anything.
But a voice suddenly drifted into his ears.
"Iām okay, Elder Mulon. Donāt be agitated and donāt do something youād come to regret."
The old Frostborn- Elder Mulon- and the remaining demons looked in the direction of Lucienās private box.
They all heard his words, and the wiser ones paled when they realized that Elder Mulon was on the verge of killing them.
They knew that even if they had backers that could cause House Mercer and the Winter Moon organization problems, they would not be brought back to life.
If they died, then they died.
The wise ones took several steps to the back while watching Elder Mulon with fear and wariness in their eyes.
"Youāve scared them, Elder Mulon."
To the surprise of everybody, Lucien chuckled and spoke with an amused tone.
Even Simon had a strange expression, but he didnāt stop moving.
"Take care of the situation, Elder Mulon. Iām safe. So donāt worry about me."
Elder Mulonās expression became complicated, then he looked at Lucienās private box.
"Are you sure, young master Lucien?" He asked with concern in his voice.
"Yes." Lucien answered confidently.
Elder Mulon exhaled softly, then he nodded.
"Alright. If you say so, young master."
He then looked at the young demons, and his eyes narrowed.
"Follow me you fools. And donāt waste my time."
Without waiting for a response, the old Frostborn walked toward one of the doors that led outside the auction hall.
When entering the auction house, one would not immediately enter the auction hall itself.
They would have to pass through a series of hallways, rooms, and corridors before reaching the auction hall.
Now that he was calm, Elder Mulon realized that if these children left the auction hall and attempted to leave the auction house itself, they would be in danger.
He had no idea what was going on, but the power of the explosions and the number of explosions was a sign of there being an attack in the City of Gondor.
āBut the explosion were not on the auction house itself but outside it. Whatās going on outside?ā
āThere are so many experts in the city, so how could there be such an attack?ā
Elder Mulon had these thoughts as he walked in front of the demons and guided them to the exit of the auction house.
He was constantly spreading out his perception throughout the building in search of an assassin, an attacker, or anything suspicious, but he found nothing.
āIf itās an elite assassin or a group of elite assassins that caused this, then they wouldnāt be so easy to find.ā
āAs long as itās not the Shadowgrave Clan, then it should be manageable. If it is... No. No. No.ā
āI should not have such thoughts.ā
āHiring the Shadowgrave Clan cost a lot of money, and knowing how to hire them is not something many clans know. I donāt even know how to hire the Shadowgrave Clan, so I doubt itās them.ā
āProbably those scums of House Valor.ā
Elder Mulon clenched his fists tightly while still paying attention to his surroundings.
āThe young master is strong. If thereās danger, he should be able to survive on his own for some time and Iāll join him as quickly as possible.ā
Just as Elder Mulon had these thoughts, they reached the door that led outside.
"Finally."
"Fuck yeah."
"Guess I was worried for nothing."
"I canāt wait to leave."
The noble demon children all exhaled sighs of relief the moment they saw the door.
However, none of them could see that Elder Mulon had a deep frown on his face as he stared at the door.
"It canāt be." He said softly, then he approached the door.
He tried pushing it open, but it didnāt budge.
He tried again with even more power, but the door remained.
Elder Mulonās expression darkened, then he took a step back.
The Fiends and Lesser Demons who followed him were confused when they saw this.
Why couldnāt the old demon open a mere door?
Before one of them could ask...
Bang!
Elder Mulon threw a punch at the door, and a powerful shockwave nearly blew the weak demons behind him away.
A few seconds later, Elder Mulonās curse echoed in the hallway.
"Shit."
The noble demons looked at the door, and to their surprise, shock, disbelief, and then fear... they saw that the door was still intact.
Glowing black chaos runes could be seen on it as it came to life as a result of Elder Mulonās punch.
The black chaos runes slowly flickered in and out of existence before dissipating from the world.
"What the hell is-"
Whoosh!
Before the noble demon child could even finish his sentence, Elder Mulon dashed past him and ran at full speed.
His eyes were filled with fear, concern, realization, and anger as he ran to Lucienās private box as quickly as he could.
āThe culprits donāt want us to escape the auction house. I donāt know what their plan is, but if we canāt leave and nobody from outside has entered despite the explosive sounds, then it means that thereās a barrier around the auction house and those inside cannot leave and those outside cannot enter.ā
āIf thatās the case, and if young master is most likely the target of all these, then it means the assassin is already inside the auction house and heās most likely not with me but on his way to complete his mission of killing the young master.ā
Elder Mulon gnashed his teeth in anger the moment he had this thought.
āYoung master Lucien... Please wait for me.ā
