With the white embers no longer posing a threat, Cain shifted his attention to Eldrick.

A solemn expression crossed his face as he bowed slightly, showing respect and gratitude.

“Thank you for your help,” Cain said earnestly, knowing that he would have been forced to leave the Crimson World without Eldrick’s intervention.

Eldrick’s attention shifted from the scarlet flames to Cain’s words, and he smiled warmly at the display of respect.

“No need to bow, young man.

It’s good to see someone with manners.

Too many dragonkin these days don’t understand etiquette.” His voice carried an elegance that seemed at odds with his fierce and majestic dragonborn form, but it was clear that Eldrick was more than a mere brute.

After a moment, he waved his hand, gesturing for Cain to stand upright, and spoke with a wide smile.

“All dragons should support each other, especially when facing the people of the Sun Church.” At the mention of the Sun Church, a flash of disdain and loathing crossed Eldrick’s eyes.

Cain stared at Eldrick for a moment, his expression complicated.

I’m a human.” Cain expected Eldrick’s mood to shift, perhaps to disappointment.

Cain blinked, thoroughly confused by the reaction.

“Awakening a dragon Legendary Innate Ability as a human means your willpower and destiny are tied to our race.

That’s far more impressive than being born a dragon!” Eldrick’s reaction was pure awe, and he clearly held no prejudice against other races.

Cain felt a slight pang of guilt as he considered his situation-his dragonborn ability wasn’t entirely his own.

He had stolen it, though he had evolved the ability far beyond what its original owner had achieved.

Not to mention that he felt truly at ease with the ability, and his instincts increasingly aligned with those of a dragon.

Since there was no reason to delve into the secret of his power, Cain simply smiled and nodded at Eldrick.

After that joyful exchange, Eldrick adopted a more serious expression, drawing Cain’s focus.

“I have three questions for you, and I hope you can answer them honestly.” Cain’s gaze sharpened as he listened, his tone solemn when he replied, “You saved me, so I will answer your questions as long as they don’t involve my secrets.” Eldrick smiled, satisfied with Cain’s response, and continued.

“There are only three questions.

Where do you come from?

How did the battle with the Sun Church begin?

And what do you seek in the Helix Continent?” A meaningful light appeared in Cain’s eyes as he heard the questions.

Essentially, Eldrick was asking about his past, present, and future.

Cain remained silent for a few moments before answering.

“I came from one of the many islands in the Sea of Wonder.

I spent the last few months on the South Coast, where I developed animosity with certain individuals,” Cain explained briefly, not delving into the details of his past.

Moving on, he addressed the second question.

“The fight with the Sun Church began because they attacked me first.

They came at me with killing intent, so I responded in kind and killed two of them when it was clear they wanted my life.” Cain kept his answers concise, but Eldrick seemed satisfied.

A cold smile crossed his face when he heard how Cain had killed two members of the Sun Church.

However, Eldrick remained focused as he waited for Cain’s answer to the third question, which would determine the direction of their conversation going forward.
