Aleiâs face showed difficulty, and he fell silent for a moment.
"..."
"Alei, if you obey her orders, then from this day forward, you neednât follow me anymore. I donât need someone with divided loyalties by my side," Mo Chen said with a steely face, his words resounding firmly.
A shock went through Aleiâs mind, and his eyes conveyed a complexity as he looked at him.
This domineering side of Mo Chen was something he had never seen before. Since when had the man he knew, still not shed of his youthful naivety, begun to mature?
Mo Chen raised his hand to push him away and quickly left.
"Young master..." Alei stood rooted to the spot, staring blankly at his retreating figure.
It was hard to hail a taxi in the villa district, and Mo Chen looked around in an urgent manner.
Suddenly, a black sedan stopped in front of him.
The window rolled down, and Mo Chen stared blankly for a moment as he saw the person in the driverâs seat.
"Alei."
"Young master, get in the car. Iâll take you there," Alei said with a stiff smile on his expressionless face.
He was the ladyâs man assigned to the young master, and it was the young master who had saved his life. He had always been good to him, he couldnât betray his trust.
Mo Chen cracked a smile and got into the car.
Once he buckled up, Alei drove away.

Tengyue Group
Presidentâs office.
The sound of pages being turned made a rustling noise, shattering the officeâs somber atmosphere.
Suddenly, Mo Suâs fingers paused on the document, and she looked up at Mengzhu, "Howâs it going with the matter?"
"The news has been released, and the situation is developing as we anticipated. Thereâs been no movement on Ye Jiuliangâs end," Mengzhu said.
"Keep an eye on Ye Jiuliangâs side, and report back immediately if thereâs any stirring."
"Yes."
As her voice faded, a cellphone ringtone pierced the silence.
Mengzhu picked up the phone, and in front of Mo Su, she pressed to answer the call.
Whatever the person on the other end said caused Mengzhu to hang up the phone with a grave face.
"Miss, the young master is here, waiting downstairs right now."
Mo Su frowned. Was this guy skipping class today?
"Let him come up."
Mengzhu nodded and dialed out.
Mo Su tapped lightly on the desk, a trace of scheming flashing in her eyes.
After a short wait, hurried footsteps approached the door.
The next second, Mo Chen burst in, looking furious.
Seeing Mo Su seated at the desk, he strode over, resting his hands on it.
In an angry voice, he questioned, "What on earth are you trying to do?"
Mo Su glanced at Alei standing by the door, then returned her gaze to him, "You skip class to come here and question me with that attitude?"
"Those rumors are spread so recklessly, donât you feel ashamed of playing these tricks?" Mo Chen retorted strongly for the first time.
"Ashamed?"
Mo Su laughed coldly, "Mo Chen, mind your manners. Youâre speaking to me. It seems that slap last time was too light; it didnât teach you a lesson."
"Youâve been trying so hard to compete with Sister Jiuliang, using all these lowly tricks. I really think you lack class and are despicable," Mo Chen said with a scornful laugh, his voice cold.
"Do you think these little schemes of yours can really drive a wedge between Sister Jiuliang and Li Mochan? If you do, then Iâm afraid youâre going to be disappointed."
"Shut up." Mo Su suddenly stood up from her chair and walked around the desk to face Mo Chen.
Her red lips parted slightly as a voice cold as ice spoke, "Youâve been pampered by Ye Jiuliang for two days, and her little kindness has won you over, right? Mo Chen, make sure you remember this: you were raised by the Mo Family; we are the real siblings. You should be on my side."
Meeting her angry gaze, Mo Chen stood firm, "Suppress those rumors and stop playing these games."
"Mo Chen, youâre the one whoâs not seeing the situation clearly. What right do you have to order me around?" Mo Suâs eyes gleamed with contempt.
She was not someone to be threatened by him.
Mo Chen suddenly laughed, tinged with sarcasm, "If you donât back off, Iâll tell Dad. And you know, Dad hates people who stoop to such low tricks the most."
In this household, he believed his father was the most righteous person.
"You..." Mo Suâs face turned red with embarrassment, never having imagined that Mo Chen would use their father to threaten her.
In a burst of anger, Mo Su swung her hand at him.
"Snapâ"
The dull sound of a slap echoed, and the atmosphere instantly tensed.
Mo Chen looked at the person who had stepped in front of him, feeling a tinge of sadness at the tip of his nose.
"Alei, who asked you to block for him? You too, wish to defy me?" Mo Suâs cold gaze shot toward the person shielding Mo Chen, her voice filled with fury, "Get out of the way."
"Miss, the young master is still young. Please, for Madamâs sake, donât take it to heart," Alei said impassively.
"I said, move aside." Mo Su clenched her fist until her knuckles cracked.
"Or do you also wish to be handled alongside him?"
Alei didnât budge, "My duty is to protect the young master."
Mo Su sneered, "It seems you still havenât understood your place. Well then, you can go spend some time in the Mo Familyâs Ghost Prison."
Suddenly, Mo Chen reached out to grab Alei, pulling him behind himself, his gaze icy as he stared at Mo Su, "You dare?"
Mo Su said, "Why wouldnât I dare? A dog that doesnât obey needs to be taught a lesson."
"What right do you have to touch my people, Mo Su? You dare to touch him, and Iâll dare to touch your people," Mo Chen said, his eyes now on Mengzhu standing behind her.
