Chapter 963: Chapter 963: Choices
"It truly is the Red-eyed White Tiger!" A trace of caution appeared on the face of Dark Night.
Brownâs strength was on par with his own. Since even Brown couldnât defeat the Red-eyed White Tiger, it wouldnât be easy for him to prevail against it either.
So, without hesitation, Dark Night pulled out the Signal Gun and fired into the dark night sky. A brilliant flare illuminated the stars.
"If anyone nearby sees the signal, theyâll naturally come!" Dark Night said grimly. "Our goal now is to hold on until reinforcements arrive!"
In this moment, a glint of murderous intent flashed in the Red-eyed White Tigerâs eyes as it let out another low growl.
Though the wolf packâs giant wolves were disrupted by the dispersal powder, under the immense pressure of the Red-eyed White Tiger, they still let out low growls and charged at the group.
"Everyone, stay cautious! Donât let the wolves break our formation!" Dark Night roared as he positioned himself at the frontline.

The others quickly formed a circle and took on fighting stances.
The giant wolves, with their ferocious eyes and fearless charges, attacked relentlessly. But they faced not ordinary people, but masters who walked the edge of life and death in the Underworld.
With Dark Nightâs assistance, the wolf pack left behind a trail of corpses. Yet they couldnât shatter the defensive circle formed by Dark Night and the others.
The heavy scent of blood quickly filled the air, and the ground was stained red with wolf blood. The piles of wolf corpses grew higher and higher!
Nevertheless, the wolvesâ assault showed no signs of slowing, as if their numbers were infinite!
"At this rate, we wonât hold up!" a master panted heavily, saying, "These giant wolves are much stronger than normal ones; slaying one takes significantly more effort."
Dark Nightâs expression turned grim. According to their prior plans, their companions who saw the signal should have already arrived by now. Yet...
He sighed. Either they had met their demise as well, or they chose to prioritize their own safety and ignored the dangers here!
Either scenario was bad news for Dark Night and his team.
Seeing the wolf pack unable to make progress, a hint of impatience appeared on the face of the Red-eyed White Tiger.
Roar! Roar! Roar! The Red-eyed White Tiger suddenly let out a deafening roar. As the sound reverberated, half the members in Dark Nightâs squad showed traces of dazed expressions.
"Not good, the tiger roar shockwave!" Dark Night immediately shouted, "Donât let it shake your focus!"
But Dark Nightâs warning came too late. The moment the tiger roar shockwave spread, the wolf pack seized the opportunity to charge forward, mauling those who were momentarily stunned.
The previously solid defensive formation was instantly torn open by the wolves.
Yuwen Xiangyu, though skilled, had weak mental defenses. When the Red-eyed White Tiger roared, she froze.
By the time she regained her senses, she found the jaws of a giant wolf looming directly in front of her.
"Ahhh!" Yuwen Xiangyu couldnât help but scream in terror.
"Watch out!" Tang Fengxiao shoved Yuwen Xiangyu aside but ended up with the giant wolfâs teeth sinking into his arm.
"Die!" A Flame Knife slashed through, severing the giant wolfâs head from its body.
With a look of guilt on her face, Yuwen Xiangyu rushed over. "Tang Fengxiao, are you alright?"
Tang Fengxiao, drenched in sweat, forced a faint smile. "Iâll be okay."
"Your wound is so deep!" Yuwen Xiangyu said anxiously. "We need to stop the bleeding immediately!"
Biting his teeth, Tang Fengxiao pulled out two Medicine Bottles. "Pour the white powder first, then the red powder; thatâll help stop the bleeding faster!"
Yuwen Xiangyu quickly took the Medicine Bottles and carefully applied the medicinal powder to Tang Fengxiaoâs wound.
Dark Nightâs expression grew increasingly grave. The sudden attack by the Red-eyed White Tiger had injured seven or eight of their people. At this rate, they were doomed.
Dark Night focused on the Red-eyed White Tiger. He knew that as long as the tiger lived, the wolves would never retreat and would continue their relentless assault.
"Hold on!" Dark Nightâs calm voice echoed. "Iâll lure the Red-eyed White Tiger away. Once I eliminate it, Iâll return to save you!"
Given the current situation, this was the only feasible solution. To defeat the leader was the way forward, even when fighting beasts!
Dark Nightâs figure became a streak of black lightning as he charged toward the Red-eyed White Tiger.
A thunderous impact sounded as Dark Nightâs punch sent the Red-eyed White Tiger flying, leaving a deep crater in the ground.
But the Red-eyed White Tiger climbed back up as though unharmed. Its red eyes flared even brighter, and it let out a low growl before charging toward Dark Night.
Despite being uninjured, being knocked down was a humiliation the Red-eyed White Tiger couldnât tolerate!
A mere human dared to strike the mighty Red-eyed White Tigerâit was unforgivable!
Dark Night swiftly retreated, but the Red-eyed White Tiger managed to slash his chest, tearing his shirt open and leaving a bloody mark.
Even without physical contact, it had pierced his defenses! Dark Nightâs heart sankâcould the tigerâs Claw Blades now harm from a distance?
Dark Night scrambled backward with the Red-eyed White Tiger hot on his heels. Among the group, only Dark Nightâs strength posed a challenge to the tiger. Killing him first would mean the rest would be easy prey; the tiger knew this well!
Although the wolf pack stayed, the departure of the Red-eyed White Tiger brought a fleeting sense of relief to the group.
The pressure from the Red-eyed White Tiger had been overwhelming!
"What do we do now?" One master couldnât help but ask. "The Dark Night Chief has led the Red-eyed White Tiger awayâthis could be our best chance!"
"Best chance? You mean a chance to escape, donât you?" Tang Fengxiao interjected coldly. "Do you really think you can make it out alive?"
The man snorted. "What do you mean escape? Staying here means certain death. I donât fear death, but I donât intend to throw my life away either!"
"Do you really think youâll survive in Death Valley if you flee now?" Tang Fengxiao argued. "Our only option is to band together and resist the wolf packâs attacks. Thatâs the only way we can wait for reinforcements to arrive!"
The man sneered. "Reinforcements? Are you naive or just pretending? If reinforcements were coming, theyâd be here by now. I bet the others chose self-preservation and are waiting for us to die!"
As he spoke, the man shouted loudly, "Who will follow me and break free? If you wonât, stay here and wait for death!"
The group hesitated.
Yuwen Xiangyuâs clear voice rang out, "I wonât leave. Iâm staying here to wait for Master. I believe Master can defeat the Red-eyed White Tiger and return!"
