Chapter 573: Chapter 573: Since You Like to Kneel, Then Keep Kneeling
"Should we reply to her?" Sean Fuller asked cautiously.
Renee Jennings said coolly, "Just ignore her."
Michelle Fuller had a look of disgust on her face. "Yeah, let her stew. How shameless!"
"Donāt be angry, donāt be angry," Sean Fuller quickly tried to placate them. "Sis, Renee, how about I take you two out to buy some handbags?"
Michelle Fuller was instantly tempted. Her eyes lit up as she looked at Renee Jennings. "Renee, should we go?"
A resigned smile touched Renee Jenningsās eyes. "If you want to go, letās go."
Michelle Fuller said happily, "Letās go~!"
Seeing this, Sean Fuller breathed a small sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, Yvonne Morgan replied to Sean Fullerās message and then started calling Zachary Morganās number again.
āWhat the hell is he playing at?ā The call went unanswered, and her face darkened with anger.
āIām his biological daughter. Shouldnāt that be something to celebrate? Does he really need to disappear like this?ā
Two whole days passed, and Yvonne Morgan still couldnāt get in touch with Zachary Morgan.
Annoyed, she called Zoe Morgan again, her voice laced with anxiety. "Auntie, I still canāt reach Dad. Have you thought of a plan?"
Before the person on the other end of the line could answer, Yvonne Morgan heard a familiar voice.
"So concerned about your father?"
Yvonne Morgan turned her head and saw Vincent Morgan helping Aria Sinclair walk toward her.
She instinctively pursed her lips. "Mom, Brother, youāre back."
Aria Sinclair sat down on the sofa, a cold, humorless smile on her face as she looked at Yvonne Morgan. "Iāve been gone for a few days. How come I didnāt get a single call from you asking how I was?"
Yvonne Morgan opened her mouth, explaining helplessly, "I-Itās not that I donāt care about you, Mom. I asked Brother the other day if he knew where you and Dad were."
"And then?" Aria Sinclair feigned bewilderment. "You called your brother, you called your father, you called your auntābut not me. Is it because Iām not your biological mother? But itās not as if they are your flesh and blood either, so why the distinction?"
"I..." Yvonne Morgan clutched her phone nervously. "Mom, I-Iām sorry."
As she spoke, she slid off the sofa and dropped to her knees with a THUD.
Aria Sinclairās gaze darkened. She recalled the dark expressions Yvonne Morgan had let slip recently, and her reliance on Zoe Morgan...
āHas she already found out about her parentage?ā
On the other end of the line, Zoe Morgan heard Ariaās cutting remarks and spoke urgently, "Yvonne, put your mother on the phone. Iāll talk to her."
Yvonne Morgan didnāt hear this. Her arms had dropped to her sides, and she put on a pitiful, wronged expression, admitting her mistake in a low voice, "Mom, Iām truly sorry. I know I was wrong."
After speaking, she lifted her gaze and looked timidly at Vincent Morgan, internally expecting him to come and help her up.
In the past, Vincent Morgan would have certainly gone to help Yvonne up and put in a few good words for her.
But he didnāt do that today. He simply poured a glass of water and handed it to Aria Sinclair.
Seeing this, Yvonne Morgan couldnāt help but grit her teeth.
Aria Sinclair sipped the water unhurriedly, her eyes casually studying the familiar face before her.
Now that the truth was laid bare, she suddenly realized that Yvonne Morgan did indeed bear some resemblance to Genevieve Hayes.
Aria Sinclair set the glass down and said slowly, "I may not be your birth mother, but Iām not your wicked stepmother either. Why must you act like this?"
Kneeling before her as if she were some strict, vicious person.
But Yvonne Morgan didnāt understand the meaning behind her words. She lowered her head, looking as though she were lower than dirt. "Mom, in my heart, youāll always be the dearest mother I love the most. Iāll kneel here until you forgive me."
Aria Sinclair understood. āSo, sheās playing the victim.ā
āFine. Then she can act all she wants.ā
She stood up, her voice perfectly calm. "Since you like kneeling so much, then stay kneeling."
A flash of shock crossed Yvonne Morganās eyes.
āWhatās going on?ā
"Iām tired. Iām going to rest," Aria Sinclair said, then turned and walked toward the elevator.
Vincent Morgan followed right behind her.
Yvonne Morgan, kneeling on the floor, was pale with fury.
Only when the mother and son were out of sight did she press the phone to her ear and whisper, "Auntie, does she... does she already know something?"
"Yvonne, why are you kneeling?" Zoe Morganās voice was filled with urgency. "Get up, quickly! Youāll hurt your knees."
"Didnāt you say you were going to think of a plan?" Yvonne Morgan suppressed her fury. "So, have you thought of one or not?"
"Yvonne, donāt worry. Your aunt is already trying to find a way to contact your father."
"How can I not be worried? Itās been days!"
"Yvonne, just get up first, okay?"
The more Yvonne Morgan thought about it, the angrier she became, and she hung up the phone.
She looked up toward the second floor, a powerful hatred churning within her.
āAria Sinclair, this is all your fault!ā
"Mom," Vincent Morgan said softly as he followed Aria Sinclair into her room. "Whatās your plan?"
"Call your father," Aria Sinclair said, standing before the French windows and gazing at the flowerbeds. Her tone was cold. "Letās see what his attitude is. If itās not the one I want to see, then he can get the hell out of this house."
"Okay." Vincent Morgan took out his phone and dialed Zachary Morganās number, but it indicated the phone was off. "Heās not answering."
"Itās fine. Iāll send him a WeChat message," Aria Sinclair sneered. "He probably just has it on airplane mode."
Vincent Morgan nodded. "Alright."
He handed her the phone.
Aria Sinclair took the phone, opened WeChat, and composed a message to Zachary Morgan: "You have two hours to figure out what you need to confess to me. Otherwise, youāll face the consequences."
At the same time, Zoe Morgan was also sending a message to Yvonne Morgan.
She had already thought of a plan.
The āself-harmā gambit.
Zachary Morgan might not care about his bond with his sister, but Yvonne was his biological daughter. Could he really not care about her?
The hotelās presidential suite was pitch-black.
Zachary Morgan lay in bed, listening to his phone chime repeatedly.
He opened his eyes, his brow furrowed, a lingering irritation in his gaze.
Zachary Morgan fumbled for his phone and saw back-to-back WeChat messages from Aria Sinclair and Zoe Morgan.
After reading Ariaās message, he felt even more anxious.
Then he saw Zoeās message. His eyelid twitched, and a rush of hot blood shot to his head. It felt like his skull was about to explode, and his blood pressure skyrocketed.
āSuicide?ā
āZoe was actually going to commit suicide and take Yvonne with her?ā
āHas she lost her mind?ā
Zachary Morgan sat up in the darkness, reached over to flip a switch, and the wall sconce instantly lit up.
He rubbed his temples, hesitated for a few seconds, then turned off airplane mode and called Zoe Morgan.
"Big Brother, youāre finally willing to talk to me," Zoe Morgan said, her voice excited. "Yvonne has been looking for you for the past two days."
"Youāre going to take her with you to commit suicide, is that it?" Zachary Morgan asked through gritted teeth.
"Big Brother, Yvonne knows the truth now, too. She just wants to talk to you," Zoe Morgan said, her voice choked with emotion. "You can ignore me, but you canāt ignore Yvonne. Sheās your biological daughter."
