Chapter 581: Chapter 581: "My Surname Is Not Meng, My Surname Is Jiang.
When Zachary Morgan heard what Sylvia Brooks said, he started to have his own doubts.
âCould it be that, just like Yvonne Morgan, Zoe Morgan isnât actually my biological sister?â
"Stop spouting nonsense!" Zoe Morgan glared at Sylvia Brooks in displeasure. Just then, a despairing cry reached her ears.
"Youâre lying to me, arenât you?" Yvonne Morgan squeezed her hand tightly, shaking her head frantically, unwilling to believe the cruel truth. "How could this be..."
Aria Sinclair glanced at the two of them, their expressions a mix of emotions, and said nonchalantly, "Now do you understand why you shouldnât exist?"
Zoe Morgan looked at her resentfully. "Aria, can you stop provoking Yvonne?"
"Me, provoking her?" Aria Sinclair scoffed, her tone calm with the knowledge of someone who saw everything. "Zoe Morgan, thereâs one more thing you havenât mentioned. Now *that* would be provoking, wouldnât it?"
Zoe Morganâs heart skipped a beat. A flicker of panic shot through her, and a tidal wave of unease suddenly crashed over her.
âAria did that on purpose. She knows everything!â
She subconsciously murmured, "Donât say any more!"
"Yvonne, letâs go." She shot to her feet, grabbed Yvonne Morganâs hand, and said with forced composure, "Auntie will take you home. Iâll take care of you from now on."
"Let go of me!" Yvonne Morgan forcefully threw her hand off and lunged toward Aria Sinclair in a frenzy. "Let her speak! I want to hear what she has to say!"
Vincent Morgan, fearing she might hurt Aria Sinclair, stepped forward with his long legs to block Yvonne Morgan. His voice was cold and stern. "Calm down."
"Fine." Yvonne Morgan took a deep breath and nodded calmly. "Brother, let her speak."
âThere has to be another reason. Otherwise, how could Zachary Morgan disown his own biological daughter?â
"Yvonne, donât listen," Zoe Morgan said, moving to pull her back again.
"Get lost!" Yvonne Morgan shoved her away again, her gaze icy. "Donât touch me!"
Zoe Morgan stumbled and fell to the floor, cutting a pathetic figure.
"Hurry up and say it," Yvonne Morgan urged Aria Sinclair again.
The latter leisurely sipped her tea and said faintly, "Zachary Morgan, why donât you tell her."
"Fine." Zachary Morgan stared coldly at Zoe Morgan, enunciating every word with clarity. "This âdear auntâ of yours was deeply in love with your biological mother. If she had found a way to have a child with Genevieve Hayes on her own, she probably wouldnât have schemed against me."
The last trace of color instantly drained from Zoe Morganâs face. She became pale as a sheet of paper, looking utterly frail.
Aria Sinclair said with a half-smile, "You shouldnât call her âAuntie.â You should call her âDad.â Sheâs your real daddy, after all."
Yvonne Morgan staggered back a few steps and stiffly turned her head to look at Zoe Morgan.
âNo wonder Dad said I shouldnât exist!â
Zoe Morgan didnât have the courage to meet her gaze. She hung her head in despair, her shoulders slumping in defeat.
"How could this happen..." Yvonne Morganâs hands at her sides clenched into tight fists, the light in her eyes dimming bit by bit. Collapse and despair threatened to overwhelm her. "Why? Why! WHY..."
Zoe Morgan stood up and looked at her worriedly. "Yvonne, donât be like this..."
"Donât touch me!" Yvonne Morgan roared. She turned her head and saw Renee Jenningsâs completely unruffled expression, and the anger in her heart flared even hotter.
âBut she couldnât let Renee Jennings treat her like a joke.â
Yvonne Morgan clenched her fists, bit down hard on her lip, and took several deep breaths to regulate her emotions, trying desperately to calm down.
She lifted her chin, adopting a superior and arrogant posture, and said coldly, "I donât care what happened in the past. I only care about the present. All I know is that my father is Zachary Morgan and I am a child of the Morgan family. I couldnât care less about anything else."
Hearing this, a flash of astonishment crossed Aria Sinclairâs eyes.
She had thought Yvonne Morgan wouldnât be able to handle something like this. She hadnât expected her to be so mentally resilient; it was quite surprising.
Zoe Morgan quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
âThank goodness. Yvonne is stronger than I imagined.â
Yvonne Morgan looked at Renee Jennings again, a hint of hostility in her eyes. "Iâm just like you. We are both children of the Morgan family."
Renee Jennings met her gaze calmly. The corners of her lips curved up, her voice coated in a light, amused tone. "Youâre mistaken."
Yvonne Morgan instantly became like a defensive, bristling hedgehog, staring at her with vigilance and resistance. "How am I mistaken?"
"Iâm not like you. Iâm not a child of the Morgan family," Renee Jennings said unhurriedly. "My surname isnât Morgan. Itâs Jennings."
Yvonne Morganâs eyes widened in astonishment. She felt a sense of powerless frustration, like punching a ball of cotton.
Renee Jennings stood up. Her gaze went past Yvonne and landed on Aria Sinclair. She said softly, "Ms. Sinclair, Iâll be taking my leave now."
âIâve seen enough of this drama. Time to go.â
âI wonât stick around to watch the rest of the farce.â
Aria Sinclair watched her retreating back, an endless sorrow welling up in her heart. A moment later, she shot to her feet and stalked angrily toward Zoe Morgan.
"Mom," Vincent Morgan called out.
Aria Sinclair walked up to Zoe Morgan, raised her hand, and slapped her hard across the face. "This is all because of you!" she roared. "Why should I be the one to pay for your mistakes?"
"Sister-in-law, Iâm sorry." Zoe Morgan clutched her stinging cheek, the skin beneath her fingertips still burning. She choked out, "I had no other choice. Besides my brother, I couldnât trust anyone else..."
"Youâre disgusting!" Aria Sinclair slapped her again, staring at her with pure hatred. "You selfish, egotistical demon! Give me back my daughter! Give her back to me!"
"Iâs sorry." Zoe Morgan knelt before her, her face filled with guilt. "Sister-in-law, if hitting me makes you feel even a little better, then you can beat me to death."
Aria Sinclairâs face flushed red with rage. Unable to contain her anger, she clenched her fists and began to rain blows and kicks down on her, grinding out through her teeth, "I really do want to kill you! But a depraved sinner like you... I donât need to lift a finger. Fate will deal with you!"
Yvonne Morgan watched this scene with cold eyes, showing no intention of intervening.
âIf it werenât inappropriate, she would have wanted to beat Zoe Morgan up herself.â
Seeing Aria Sinclairâs breathing grow ragged, Vincent Morgan quickly went to her side to placate her. "Mom, donât work yourself up so much you harm your own health."
"Vincent." Aria Sinclair gripped her sonâs hand, looking at him with tears in her eyes. "Vincent, tell me, are you still going to acknowledge them?"
"I wonât," Vincent Morgan answered without a momentâs hesitation. "I will always stand with you, Mom."
Aria Sinclair let out a small sigh of relief and turned her gaze to Zachary Morgan. "And you?"
Zachary Morgan took a deep breath and declared solemnly, "I, Zachary Morgan, from this moment on, completely sever my sibling relationship with Zoe Morgan and my father-daughter relationship with Yvonne Morgan! From now on, the three of us will live a good life as a family."
"A family of three..." Tears instantly welled up in Aria Sinclairâs eyes again. "We could have been a happy family of four..."
"Dad, how can you abandon me?" Yvonne Morgan grabbed Zachary Morganâs sleeve, unable to accept it. "Iâm your biological daughter!"
"Brother, you can disown me as your sister, but you canât disown Yvonne," Zoe Morgan pleaded desperately as she knelt before him. "Brother, Iâm begging you."
