Ouyang Feifei also said she’d come to pick him up in a bit.

Since Ouyang Feifei couldn’t cook and it was inconvenient for Luo Ziling to cook in her place, she ordered dinner from a hotel. While waiting for dinner, she personally made tea for Luo Ziling and sat across from him to chat.

However, after sitting down, Ouyang Feifei kept making small talk instead of getting to the point, which prompted Luo Ziling to ask.

“What’s so urgent that you had to talk to me about it?”

Ouyang Feifei seemed to have dressed up meticulously today, giving off an incredibly beautiful vibe.

“If I’m not mistaken, things aren’t going as perfectly as you hoped since your dad’s return, right?” Ouyang Feifei asked, her beautiful eyes fixed on Luo Ziling without blinking.

“Why do you say that?” Luo Ziling didn’t foolishly ask how she knew.

Asking that would have just confirmed Ouyang Feifei’s suspicions.

“It’s quite obvious,” Ouyang Feifei smiled slightly. “Your grandfather ended up staying at the school, and you went to accompany him several times. If your dad came back and everything went smoothly, why would things turn out like this?”

“Isn’t it great to give my parents some space? I’m hoping they’ll even give me a little brother or sister!”

Ouyang Feifei blushed slightly and rolled her eyes at Luo Ziling before seriously asking, “Are you disappointed with what your dad’s done since he came back?”

Without waiting for Luo Ziling to answer, Ouyang Feifei quickly explained, “Your dad’s return could make many people uneasy. If he doesn’t cooperate with you and your family and acts on his own, things will get more complicated. Our Ouyang Family has many collaborations with yours, so we need to clarify these issues. I also don’t want you and your mom to face troubles or see your past efforts go to waste because of your dad’s return.”

“You make it sound like my dad’s a useless partner,” Luo Ziling replied discontentedly.

“Isn’t that what you think? You must be quite dissatisfied with your dad’s actions since his return,” Ouyang Feifei pointed out sharply. “I bet he doesn’t approve of your antics in front of your elders or your cooperation with Dragon Rise. He probably has different views from your mom on these matters. So suddenly, your family’s relationship has become awkward. Am I right?”

“If a woman is too smart, she either becomes a nun or someone’s lover,” Luo Ziling retorted angrily at Ouyang Feifei. “So, maybe you shouldn’t be so smart!”

Ouyang Feifei’s face changed instantly, and she stared at Luo Ziling as if ready to tear him apart.

In response, Luo Ziling looked at Ouyang Feifei indifferently, and while she was glaring at him, he reached out to touch her face.

After the touch, Luo Ziling teasingly said, “Oh, your skin is quite smooth; you take good care of it!”

Ouyang Feifei was almost so enraged by Luo Ziling that she fainted.

“Oh, really mad?” Luo Ziling raised Ouyang Feifei’s chin with his hand, his tone still teasing, “I thought you never got angry!”

Ouyang Feifei slapped at Luo Ziling’s hand, which was holding her chin, but unfortunately, she didn’t have enough strength to knock his hand away.

Seeing Ouyang Feifei so exasperated, Luo Ziling’s playful side emerged again.

“You bastard.” Ouyang Feifei picked up the teacup in front of her, intending to pour the tea over Luo Ziling’s face.

But the cup was easily snatched away by Luo Ziling.

Just then, there were sounds coming from outside, likely the hotel staff delivering their meal.
